I want to speak life into my husband! 100 Words of Affirmation Your Husband Needs To Hear reminded me of all the little things I need to let my husband know. Like telling him I appreciate that he is different from me. Lord knows there doesn't need to be someone just like me! This was an easy read. This book reminded me to be purposeful with my words and to use them to build my husband up.For my husband sharing words of affirmation doesn't come natural. This has given him words to say to affirm me and build me up. As women we need to hear that our husbands only has eyes for us. So many things around us scream we aren't good enough. This book is sure to help your husband find the affirming words you need to hear.

Wow, we have truly enjoyed these books from Matthew and Lisa Jacobson!! We are big fans of them in general- have followed their blogs for years and now two years into marriage we are loving listening to their podcast! SO much helpful, super practical and biblical counseling and sharing from life! My husband actually was the one that, after listening to one of their podcasts after their book release, came home from work and said,"hey what about ordering their books, I think it would be really helpful for me in the area of knowing how and what to say to you to encourage and support you." Wow, impressive for a guy that's not a huge reader and hasn't been real into reading marriage books, lol! Well, these books were no disappointment!! We have been super blessed by them as a couple! It's been helpful in seeing new angles of ways to communicate the things that each other needs to hear. We've applied them through verbal communication, text messages and also notes slipped into his lunch box. What an impact it's had on our marriage to really strengthen us and teach us how to better communicate into the lives of our spouse! Thank you Matt and Lisa!!!

These books are a joy to read and I gained some great ideas. The authors are very transparent with how they have applied these principles, which is helpful. Words of affirmation do not come easy to me so it was good to read some(well 100 :) ) I can use and examples of how to use them in daily life. Each affirmation is written in a way that even if your spouse doesn't fit the description exactly you can still use it. I found it made me think of things I wouldn't have noticed before so a great tool for strengthening your marriage.

These books are such a simple idea, but it can truly transform a marriage! The 100 words are simple sentences that anybody can impliment with their spouse. There's just a brief (usually 1 page) story or insight that goes alongside that sentence. Best read a little at a time (like one per day), giving you time to put these words into practice with your spouse.
