I’m sure this product would have been fine if it wasn’t covered in melted cling film. I’ve spent 20 minutes trying to uncover it so I can see if it fits in my air conditioner. I’m unsure why a solid plastic object needed to be covered in melted shrink wrap. I have bits everywhere and my nails are wrecked and it looks disgusting. I may send it back just because of that.

This was used to connect the hose from the unit to the outside. Our portable unit is old and the connector is no longer available, it is also half the size of this one. We had to seal the part to the unit with HVAC tape and also support the hose with straps to ensure it did not disconnect. This was not the parts fault.

It works and fits fine. Normally, you would expect the coupler to be packaged in a plastic bag. However, this coupler appeared to have plastic wrap heat-shrunk onto it, making it hard to remove. Some of the plastic wrap is stuck on it and impossible to remove. The plastic wraps need to be removed in order to screw it onto the vent. I was unable to remove all the plastic. Very frustrating.
