My computer (HP) did recognize the camera but it could not charge the battery and the buttons were so tiny on the camera itself it was very difficult to proceed. It would depend on the age and type of your computer. If you have a maintenance contract with computer maker (such as Dell, HP, Acer, Apple) you could contact them and they would help you with that. Or you might be able to Google the process details.

Best way to go is to take the camera to a camera store that sells printers and the clerks could help you with that. Or go to CVS to print the pictures.
