Works great
I just received it today, used it immediately to make some chaffles. I put the setting to the number five, let it cook for 5 mins and Boom! Nice and evenly cooked. I hope this waffle maker lasts a long time. Just remember the higher the setting the shorter usually be the cooking time. If your cooking something that is dense I'd use medium to lower setting and cook longer. It's okay to open the maker to check the the status, once you figure out the setting and time you won't need to lift the maker. Best wishes. Getcha one!

lacking any useful instructions
I got this because as a single or 2 person house, the bigger appliances just are to big to bother with at this stage. The waffle maker itself seems to be well made and sturdy, heats up fairly quickly, and the nonstick plates are non stick. My biggest complaint is there was no recipes in the manual. Not even a basic guideline for how long and at what temp to start with. The waffle recipe doesn't say how long to cook them or even at what temperature. I've used my big waffle maker for tons of non waffle items and had that down pretty good. Brownies, cinnamon rolls, hash browns all perfect in my old one. I'm still trying to figure this one out, but I've ruined more food than eaten trying to get things dialed in. Some basic guidelines would have been really helpful. Should be good once I get things dialed in, but right now I'm frustrated, and sick of experimenting. I just want to pop things in set the temp and timer and get something edible.

Breakfast and Paninis
We have been enjoying our homemade waffles every weekend since I bought this waffle iron! It comes with three sets of removable plates each with a different pattern. The removable plates make cleaning a breeze! We have also enjoyed “paninis” using what we had in the house.. wheat bread, bacon and cheese. Delish! The recipe for waffles that comes with the iron requires yeast which I did not have. I used a boxed pancake/waffle mix which worked out great. Even better was another recipe I had googled that didn’t require yeast. Frozen waffles cannot compare to fresh homemade waffles!

Very noisy
It heated up quickly and does a decent job of cooking. Not sure how well the light system works. But as someone that cooks you should have a decent idea of how long to leave items in the maker. Though I did ruin one waffle by opening it too early cause the light indicated it was time to open. It is so far very nonstick which is nice, I did not even grease it ahead of time. The plates change very easily and while it does not seem to be made of good quality it is much better than the other one I got. I like the size as it is easy to store along with the other plates.

Well-made
This looks like a well-made item unfortunately it wasn’t the one my wife wanted so I had to return it.

I love this waffle maker. It’s perfect for the single waffle eater. Has interchangeable plates, a temp dial, and is easy to clean.
