Another story of a great Christian hero. Loved it. Easy read.

This was about a man and a place I was not familiar with, so wanted to learn something totally new. It did not disappoint! Very glad I read it! I loved reading about his adventures and bravery in the icy north!

The bio on Wilfred Grenfell by Janet Benge is a refreshing take on a missionary doctor,s life.He preaches every chance he gets but also gives of himself as a medical doctor in the Labrador region of Canada.This is a more ordinary Christian as opposed to the famous ones and was quite a change of pace to read this great man,s bio.In this bio you read of the humorous story of Grenfell and Moody in which as a man was long praying Moody said to the crowd--"let us sing a song while our brother finishes his prayer"--this event so enamored Wilfred to the cause of Christ,he then totally dedicated his life thereafter.You will read in this book of Wilfred,s despairs and elation's as he endures hardship,despair,shipwreck and the extreme cold on land and on sea.This book is of larger print,easy to read and enjoy--I highly recommend it.

This is one of the best books of the series we have read, I think Wilfred must have had extra adrenals, he seemed to be health and on the go all the time, the Lord blessed him with ideas on improving the poor conditions of the people of the Labrador coast, I am amazed that people could even live in those conditions. A fantastic book, a must read for all.

I love this series. This wasn't my all-time favorite, but it was a very good story of a man who trusted God, and God provided. Also a good example of how God can save you no matter where you are.
