Cloud Storage Box 1TB Compatible with Ebitcam, MIPC Cameras,Vimtag Camera 8 Channels 1080P Video Record,Mobile playback (1TB)

The 1st unit hung while viewing live feed, faulty I thought so returned and bought a 2nd unit, which has the exact same fault - EVEN ON A SINGLE CAMERA! on a high speed network. Emailed tech support who wanted me to open the unit up supplying them the password, not comfortable with doing this. Have spent hrs trying everything to get this to-do something it was supposed to-do straight out of the box. I've worked in IT for the last 30 years so know all the tricks, opening ports and have even analysed the network traffic in an attempt to get this to work. It does continue to record when the output hangs, so I guess if you don't want to monitor live feed through the device then proceed with purchase on that basis. I will add that the live MIPC app through Windows does not hang, though only a single camera can be viewed at any one time .. perhaps there is a reason for this! .. Returning the 2nd unit as not fit for purpose - such a shame as I bought a number of camera's compatible with this device and Alexa waiting for it to become available. Should a 2nd generation unit become available I will revisit.

Came a lot earlier than expected, so full marks for that.I've already got the E2, EBF4 and EBO2 camera's, which are all nicely running under one piece of software, utilising memory cards and Cloud subscriptions to store the 24/7 recordings for each camera.The 1TB Cloud Storage Box was something I really liked the idea off, as it meant i could have a device on my local network, thus meaning i had a backup for every camera, should the cameras get damaged, or worse case, stolen ( possibly during a crime ).To aid viewing the contents, you can access the unit with your TV, as there is a HDMI port to accompany the network connector. This is alongside the ability to access the network box remotely using the Ebitcam software and iOS/Android Apps, as shown in the attached photographs.All in all, having the cloud storage box completes the package of Ebitcam equipment to make your own camera security system, using the devices you actually need, at a much cheaper price.I tried different manufacturers of cameras, but the Ebitcam products have all met my expectations to give me the reassurance of being protected. If your looking to build a camera security system, give them a try.Enjoy!

UPDATE 20/05/2020Sadly I would no longer recommend this item.The box has suddenly decided to keep taking itself off line.The app has become atrocious with every update making it worse and worse.For example the handy home screen has now been shrunk to accommodate a half page advert.It is slow and very buggy, no thought has gone into its usability an example being the settings menu which scales itself in such a way on ipad pro that the text is unreadably small.I only have three cameras on my setup and although i have a full wifi mesh set up the camera nearest the router is the worst for response with delays of upto approx 10 seconds.Really disappointed as when i first set it up as per my original review below it started off as a really good system.Having spent a couple of hundred quid on my set up its turned into a waste of money now being almost unusable and unfit for purpose.Im sure others have a great experience with this system, but in the long term you might not be as pleased as when you first set it up.ORIGINAL REVIEWThis is so easy to use. I now have 3 of the 1080p wifi cameras and I am really impressed with the quality of these devices.Even more so you get fabulous customer service from Ebitcam. They are really helpful if you run into any issues or just need some advice.They cannot do enough to help you and respond really quickly.After buying 3 cameras I wanted good storage and thought by the time I buy 3 SD cards needed for the cmeras im not far off affording this cloud storage box.Now first things first, although this is called a cloud storage box it stores your videos on a hard drive inside the box, not up in the cloud on a server somewhere. Thats a different service.Setting these devices up is so easy, install the app and then simply scan the QR code underneath each device you buy. This then attaches the devices to your account and syncs up all the devices you have and that really is that.To install the cloud storage box is simple, plug the supplied power adaptor into the wall and the box. Connect the supplied network lead from the box to your router and thats that.Attach to your app as above and set up some simple settings like date and time and time zone and sorted.Then all you do is go into each camera and set it to point to the cloud box to record there and any scheduling you may want to set.Ive set mine to continuous record for now, i shall be getting more cameras to expand the systemI like this as you can expand the system at your own pace rather than spending a lot in one go.It arrives in a very smart box with everything you need to get it up and running, took me about 5-10 minutes.So i would highly recommend these guys and their products, you dont need to be tech savvie to set these up and with fab customer service to back you up, you cannot go wrong.

The camera is a great product and the connectivity with the box over WiFi is good. The storage box operates very quietly and has good capacity. However, the software control is miserable and can drive one nuts. No matter what you set, the box keeps recording 24/7 in half an hour long video clips. Date/Time stays out of sync and the recording mode stays on normal regardless of what I set. The video playback is painfully slow and fails to load most of the time. Even when it does, it loads up only a few seconds at a time.I would have wished to set the recording to take place between set times everyday and only when the motion detection gets triggered. These settings are available through the software but don't seem to work. The camera and box keeps recording continuously.A software review and update is badly needed. Reading through the feedback reviews of the Ebitcam software, people were happy earlier and only recently has the software update caused all these problems. Unfortunately a factory reset also didn't rectify the glitches.

I have this Cloud Record box with 4 ebit cameras hard wired,and it was easy to set up and get running so far no problem's. I can now witch out for my blind Brother as he lives on his ownand when he answers his front door it is all captured on cctv.

Easy, plug in, load mipc. Add a cloud storage device. Sit back and have 24/7 recording for up to 8 cameras. Suspect it’s easu to open and replace hard drive if needed. Very good as the mipc cloud service was useless.

As described easy setup,, hope for later app improvements to assist with motion detection recording instead of continuous recording.
