My granddaughter loves it.
First let me thank the customers who mentioned the wire connections on the solar panel. The connections on mine looked very fragile as expected, so one of the first things I did was glob some 5 minute epoxy on the connection and glued the wires to the back a short distance from the connection. My 5 yr. old granddaughter had fun punching out the pieces and watching me assemble. Her favorite part was painting it and taking it out for a race against my solar powered Mars Rover... she won!Assembly was not difficult at all for an adult.

Top notch educational, interactive and had a blast using it
I bought this for my son and he enjoyed building and painting it. It was cool to see the car moving when he put it under the sun. The wiring was tricky but I love that it came with a video that showed how to build the car with the wires, plus the video explained many of the engineering concepts.

Smaller model that needs fine motor skills
I like to get kids toys that they put together, so I bought this for my 8-year-old nephew. he could put this together pretty much by himself with some adult help fixing the solar panel. However, it seems like it suits older kids since the model is pretty small to put together and paint. A unique feature is that the models move for them! The toy is a little pricy to me though.

On the smaller side but a very neat project for kids!
The media could not be loaded. This was a great project for my Nephew who falls into the autistic spectrum. He (9) years old was able to put together most of this with a little assistance and enjoyed painting it and seeing it move was so satisfying and fun. He loves all types of cars and I believe this was his very first model car he ever did. Having something that actually moves and does something on his own was amazing!
