A Brilliant Five
A very well thought out and plotted book. It may jump from location to location and dtae to date which can be a bit frustrating but taking everything into account is well worth while and froms a big part of the story. When a one or two word simple descriptive word would do the author painstakingly paints an elaobaret picture so descriptive that you would think that you were there. of course there is the usual sex and gore but again pictured with great detail.I vfirst rated the book as a four but having had time to reflect on the book I give it a full five for a very well planned and executed book. Once you start it is difficult to put it down.

Plenty of sex and violence! . The sex deserves special mention. Particular y graphic - really nothing left to the imagination!

Two for one offer
The two stories were so different that there seemed to be no common thread. Each story well written, kept you wanting to see if they would in fact ever collide.I thoroughly recommend reading this book.

Nemesis
If there is a better adventure writer, I do not know one. This book is two separate stories which do not come together until the end.Absolutely gripping. Could not put it down.

Is it Wilbur Smith?
Not up to Smiths usual standard in my opinion after reading his books starting in the late sixties. An ok read none the less. However the word indeed was used a number of times throughout the book when the word knelt should've been used.To me he knelt down or he knelt would have read better than kneeled.

the adventure continues
the pace is fast, the adventure explosive and the characters painted into a story that envelopes the reader so that you cannot wait to complete the tale

Disappointing.
Not really up to the standard of Wilbur's earlier epics. A shame.
