Good practical advise on a wide number of topics
I have owned my own business for over a decade. Honestly, my main interest is in my business. Not figuring out insurance, investments, retirement, estate planning, etc, on and on. This book is great because it has practical advise for all those aspects that are out of my main areas of expertise. The breadth of information in the book is quite large and the style is honest and conversational. Not a difficult book to read through in a few sessions.

My $20 Guide to Retirement
Every time I talk with an advisor about retirement, they try to sell me insurance. I'm not looking for insurance, I'm looking for a retirement strategy that I can implement on my own. This book is just what I was looking for. It's teaching me how to self-direct the 401(k) monies I've saved up from prior employers. It's teaching me how to invest in real estate so that I'm not needing to work for the rest of my life. I especially love the Rental Property Analysis spreadsheet in Chapter 14. I'm going to use this to evaluate several rental properties and the spreadsheet will help me narrow the choices down to the properties with the very best returns. There's even a chapter on building up the value of my business so that when I'm ready to retire my business will have more value. Knowing the strategies outlined in this book have reduced my fears and I'm feeling more focused on a course for retirement success.

So Grateful for Mark Kohler!
I have been learning from Mark Kohler for just about 12 years now and he has just gotten better and better over the years. Mark brings 2 professions together - legal and accounting in a way I have never seen or heard from in another professional in these fields. Our businesses have benefited greatly from Mark's wisdom and desire to help business owners and I am forever grateful I had the fortunate opportunity to meet Mark in 2006 when I was getting my business off the ground. I read every single thing that Mark writes, have attended his seminars for years, and can't recommend him enough. His classes at Renatus have honestly changed our lives forever. I struggled to figure out how to start and manage a business for years and Mark just lays it out and makes it easy. Thank you Mark!

Good book on business.
This book is about business owners, useful and helpful tips and advice on how to manage a business. The only thing that I didn't like about this book is that is too wordy and sometimes the author tries to manipulate you with not so accurate information, e.g. on p. 137 he says that the average return of real estate the previous 50 years is higher than that of the stock market (S&P - 500), which is not true! All in all, it has many useful information that can be useful to you.

All Good!
I have been self employed for the past 10 years. I enjoy it very much. I don’t enjoy taxes though! As an entrepreneur and small business owner I’ve found Mark Kohler’s knowledge and expertise within this book prove to very helpful in the - somewhat boring ;) but necessary areas of -tax and financial planning. I’m a student of his previous writings and his workshops. I really rely on his advice and it’s always proven only good things.
