WOW! SO comfy!
Bought this for an upcoming flight to Europe and bus tour...so very pleased after taking for a shorter "test drive" yesterday. I already have 2 other "doughnut" travel pillows - an inflatable, and a 1st generation memory foam. Neither was sufficiently comfortable for the bother of taking on a long flight. This one is different! It is more compact in size, has a handy travel pouch, and the contouring on sides and back seem to makes as huge difference in supporting head...not too rigid, not too smushy! The removable zippered cover is so silky smooth, you can't help but relax! I am extremely pleased with my purchase so far. The only thing I didn't expect was the lopsided shape when initially taken out of pouch upon arrival. I just let it sit, and reshaped the curve. Ta Da!!! All fixed. Just be careful when repacking into pouch to keep its shape when unpacked. Happy Travels!

Just what I was looking for
I might make a few trips a year by plane. I was in the market for an inexpensive neck pillow that seemed comfortable and convenient. This definitely hits both those marks! It's made from a sort of memory foam material, so it's very comfortable. It conforms nicely to your neck. I've already taken it on some plane and car trips. But the best part is that it comes with its own travel bag, and the pillow actually squeezes into this little sack. It can easily fit inside of a carry-on bag or a personal item when it folds into this little bag. I would definitely recommend this neck pillow to someone who is looking for a little relief on a long plane trip!

Good for the money - wouldn’t buy anything more expensive
This is a good pillow for the money, getting you nearly as much value as a top pick like Cabeau Ultimate at half the price (in my opinion, no neck pillow is worth more than a standard pillow for daily use). It still lacks the neck support which should be very easy to add in the form of straps instead of the tie cords. The cords do enable some fitting around your neck, but not enough to enable you to rest your neck in flight and totally prevent neck clamps. Furthermore, the raised points at the rear do offer support to your head while resting straight back against a headrest. However there is a significant amount of foam at the rear so as to push your head forward to an uncomfortable position. To counteract the discomfort you could place the rear of the rest more onto your upper shoulder, but this negates being completely at rest as you have to force your head to stay erect and back to maintain the position. All in all, this definitely works better than a standard round neck pillow, with most of the same drawbacks, but some additional design points that make it a better buy. I still would not pay $40 for anything better, and would rather use the free pillows available on the flight.

Comfotable and well made, but Too Thin in Back to Meet My Needs.
I travel on airplanes every week, and uniformly, airplane seats are uncomfortable. This is especially true for coach seat headrests, some of which make you lean your head so far back that you're looking at the ceiling. I can fall asleep that way, but my neck lets me know it's not happy when I wake up. So I looked for a neck pillow, and found the Southeast Memory Foam Travel Pillow.PROs1. I like the high back and thick sides.2. The travel bag makes this easier to pack away in my laptop bag.3. The front clip keeps the pillow in place.4. The pillow is soft and comfortable.5. The pillow appears well made, with quality materials, stitching and zipper.CONsAlthough I did find the bagged pillow a little large to carry around, I really only have one significant CON, and for me it was a fatal flaw. The pillow is nicely thick and cushioned everywhere EXCEPT the one place I need some cushioning, at the very back directly behind my neck. There, the pillow is quite shallow, and the cushioning thin and inadequate.I very much realize that pillows are one of those highly personal items that on which no two people ever completely agree. However, for my personal needs, this pillow did not meet my needs, and it went back to Amazon.

Works when you don't
I needed some support for when I sleep in my chair at the office. Before using this neck pillow I'd wake up with neck cramps from my head sliding to the left or right. With this pillow in place I sleep peacefully and comfortably. It's a nice soft velour fabric that you can wipe off, and with the removable cover you can even wash it. I'm a hot sleeper and I usually hate high collars and scarves, but this pillow didn't make my neck warm, just had a snug feeling.

Works Until You Actually Travel
This was an incredible investment for about 6 months. After a recent trip (planes and buses) for a week, the memory foam inside ripped and split right down the middle. I didn't even know memory foam was capable of this action. It was frustrating to finally use it for travel as the product is intended to be and have it fail after one week. With a massive rip in the center, you have to hold it together at all times to make it functional. I can't believe I own two of these.

This worked better for lumbar support than as a neck pillow
This worked better for lumbar support than as a neck pillow. It's super bulky, even when you squish it down and into the bag. It's so bulky on that I found it super uncomfortable. It also smells like menthol for some strange reason, and it's super hot on your neck.

Great product, Great Service
I had never used a neck pillow until I tried this one. I used on a 14 hour flight and it was a huge difference. It compacts into the small carrying bag. My carrying bag was "liberated" from me on the flight. That brings me to customer service. I sent a message to Southeast asking if I could get a replacement bag. I actually did not expect anything, but not only did they replace it, they sent it UPS. That is exceptional. Great product, Great service
