Q: what are the measurements of this product and where was it made?

It's 18 inches long & about 8 inches deep. I don't know where it was made but a safe guess is China.

Q: I am 80 years old and 5' tall. I prefer the bigger version to avoid multiple shopping trips but would the larger size be too much for me to handle?

I started using carts like this in my 50s. 5 autoimmune disorders, so I'm in pain 24/7. Hip replacement, need a shoulder AND a knee replaced too. On my own, no one else to help me. These carts come in handy. The cheaper ones will last about a year, year and a half. The cheaper ones are lighter, but the metal frames and wheels wear out. My first one was like $15 bucks. The metal rods used as an axle, broke. My second the wheels broke apart. I got another one, heavier, bigger and works when you buy groceries once a month.(like I did). It folded up too, but it was a little heavier to handle, but manageable. And the bigger one had metal inside the wheels, not plastic. The better questions: What are the wheels made out of? Is it plastic or metal inside the wheel? What is the weight limit?(overloading the cart is bad, unless you get the more heavy duty cart. These three wheeled carts are a godsend and helps if you have to pull your cart up some stairs. I'm in the market for a new cart too. And your question about where this one is made....its made in China. So expect a delay in shipping by at least 3-4 months.(google chinese holidays, and never order things that come from the orient during their holidays.) I too would like to know, where can I get a cart like this in America instead?

Q: Are the wheels polyurethane?

Don’t know what they are made of, but they are quiet on my laminate floor and rolls easily. I like my stair climber.

Q: Is the base large enough for a laundry basket

It’s not real big - 16x10”. I use bungees when I have a large item. I’m on the third floor and I use it often to bring up packages and groceries
