Hello! It can save baby animals. We widened the outer net edge of the product by 10cm, and raised the height of the net edge to the water surface, making it easier for small animals to escape and reduce more animal casualties.

Q: Does this product work for chipmunk? They're in my pool constantly, will this help them get out?

Hello! It totally saves the chipmunks. After the pool escape ramp is put into the pool, it is best placed near the skimmer opening, it will help frogs, squirrels, lizards, snakes, turtles, rabbits, mice, birds and other small animals that stray into the pool to escape safely.

Q: Where do you all place these for maximum effectiveness? Close to the skimmer or is it too late by that point?

It tells you to put it a ways from the skimmer, but I found right next to it is the best place. Pull the weighted part back so the ramp is short and taut. We have been using this for 4 months and haven't had a single frog or other critter in the skimmer that this is near.
