The size chart is half of the measurement. XXL on the chart shows 26.5 in. The XXL I purchased is 26,5 across the front laid on a flat surface. Double that to get the actual circumference - 53 in. So if you need 53 in around the chest XXL will work. I gotta believe the entire chart follows suite once you look at the #'s on the sizing chart.I am returning the one but I ordered 3 more Large. [great bang for the buck]
