I have been using this shampoo/conditioner combo on my 7-year-old's hair and it seems to work well. The scent is nice and she has not gotten lice from school. I wasn't expecting her to, but anyway. My daughter also has issues with product buildup and scalp flaking, this shampoo seemed to help with that!

My granddaughter is getting close to 2 years old and doesnt see other small kids very often but I do worry about bugs when she is out with other people. I have been using this shampoo and conditioner when I know she is going out interacting with other kids. She doesnt seem to mind the difference between this and her normal shampoo either so the peppermint is not a deal breaker. It isnt over powering as some can be. Overall it is a nice set and I would recommend.

I didn't get these for lice but just as a general bug repellant, and it works pretty decently for that! Most bugs don't like peppermint oil so I figured it would work for keeping things away.I did want to point out that this is for PREVENTING lice, so if you already have an infestation you'll need one of their other products.No sense in drawing out a review needlessly, so here are some quick bullet points:-comes with shampoo and conditioner-smells nice and very peppermint-y-easy to use, if you've ever washed your hair and used conditioner before? Lather up, wait a few minutes, rinse. Apply conditioner to wet hair, let sit for a few minutes, rinse out.-seems to help repel bugs that don't like peppermint, like lice, fleas, mosquitoes, etc.

The Lice Ladies Kids Lice Prevention shampoo and conditioner set 8oz 2 pack. These came just like the picture, wrapped in plastic to prevent leaks, and with inner safety seals. A++! These smell really nice, too. They do contain sulfates, fyi. But I like to use them occasionally as a preventative.These are great for kids or if you’re an adult working in a public environment susceptible to contagions etc. I think the price is a bit high for what you get though.

A few months ago, one of our friends contacted us, warning us to check ourselves for lice. Apparently one of the children at a birthday party ‘may’ have lice. The significant other was at that party to help out, and of course to play with the kids. Being proactive, I went to get the appropriate treatment shampoo.Just hearing about the possibility of lice, my head was getting itchy! Yes, we did check each other’s heads for any signs of lice. No signs, but just to be sure, I went to the local pharmacy. Yikes, they didn’t have any. I went to two more stores, and they didn’t have lice treatment shampoo. I went home, and we researched home remedies, and I ordered shampoo treatment online (thankfully, Amazon delivered it the next day). Thankfully, we didn’t have any lice. Plus, it turns out that no one actually had lice. (The child had some allergic or dermatologic reaction, and not lice.)So, the new school year has started. With it, I think the increased chances for a lice alarm. So, I feel it’s prudent to have lice treatment in the medicine cabinet. This product offers lice elimination and prevention in a shampoo and conditioner set. We both like that it is composed of natural, non-toxic ingredients. In fact, they tout that the products ‘are non-toxic, pesticide-free, hypoallergenic, free of sulfates and parabens’. No harsh chemicals.We like the natural ingredients approach to this lice treatment/prevention shampoo and conditioner set. I have some sense of relief knowing that I have these readily available. I rate this product 4.5 - 4.75 stars.

My two oldest children are prone to catching lice every year! This shampoo and conditioner set is used every time they shower and wash their hair. The scent is potent, but it's supposed to be because if you've done as much research on lice as I have, you know that they absolutely HATE the smell of peppermint, among other smells, but this is the prominent one in this specific set. Some other reviewers mentioned it being lab tested, well it has been, and Lice Ladies is one of the brands that is very well known in the Lice Community, do your research! I have no problem using this set on my children and it seems to be working very well thus far.

According to the product description, this shampoo and condition does not treat or eliminate existing lice (the same brand sells another product for that); these products simply contain natural ingredients which claim to “aid in repelling” lice. In other words, you first need to get rid of lice using a different product, and then use this shampoo and condition to repel lice in the future.The shampoo and condition seem to be good quality. They both have a very light peppermint scent and perform about the same as other good-quality shampoos and conditioners. Since my kid does not have lice (and, mercifully, never has), I don’t know whether this product would actually prevent a lice infestation.The price of this set is quite high ($27.95 at time of order). Perhaps the price is reasonable if it actually repels lice, but I’m not sure how you would know if lice don’t come back because you used this product or were just lucky. I like that these products are gentle and homeopathic, so if your kids have recurring lice issues, these would probably be worth a try as a first line of defense.4 stars.

When you find out lice are going around at your kids school, usually it's just a matter of time before your kid gets it and it's days of terror searching for them before they do. This is at least some peace of mind during that time that'll hopefully keep them from getting them. I appreciate that there's at least something that can be done to try to avoid the insecticide and nit picking. Kids don't seem to mind it which is a huge plus.
