Big School of Drawing Workbook

This book is exactly what I was hoping it would be. It is a workbook, so every single page has a tutorial/exercise to do showing you about 3-4 steps in the process of how to get to the finished product. There are brief instructions for each. It also has white space so you can practice in the book if you want. I can't wait to get started!

For beginners like me it's really helpful. Usually sketching books will have either less images or it target's only one segment. But this book covers multiple segments and more illustrations. And the good part is you can directly practice in this book itself.

For any age this is very helpful and useful for advancing in your art, I recommend

I'm a fan of Walter Foster books. This is a great workbook for beginners. It starts off with basic textures and shapes and moves on to more complex still life, portraits, and scenery. It becomes more advanced as you go through the book. I like that it provides space in the book to practice, however I won't use that since I prefer to use a drawing pad instead.The product photos are a little misleading as I expected to receive a book with a horse on a white cover, like in the photo, however I received a yellow book with a tree on it (as pictured in the description). I wanted to point that out so that other buyers are not surprised when it arrives. What you actually receive is the Big School of Drawing Workbook (pictured in product description lower on the page), not the Big School of Drawing book which is shown in the product photos at the top of this listing (which is a different product).Regarding the horse that is in the product photos on the cover of the Big School of Drawing book, that horse is not in this workbook. There is another portrait of a horse in this workbook but it looks different.Overall, this workbook is great for beginners and I like it a lot.

I a teaching myself to draw and this book is awesome, It fives you the basic and then has lessons/pictures to draw and each one teaches you more. Love it!
