We had a really horrible food burning problem. We left the house for 2 hours and came home to a house full of smoke. I set big fans at my doors and the smoke came billowing out. We were just plain lucky it wasn't worse! I cleaned everything for two days. Washing sheets, towels, rugs, blankets. You get the picture. I could taste the smoke. Everything I read said at around two weeks the smells could be gone. I have a home business where people come to the house. I was freaked out! Smells make and break your mood. So I purchased this ionizer. I have had it plugged in and running for over an hour. My home is 2400 Sq. Feet on one level. It smells so much better already! This is saving my sanity. Yes! I am a crazy woman. I think I will live now.

This thing is no joke ! Works VERY well.

I used this on my eldery mothers room which smelled oddly like maple syrup and stale cigarettes which was not a good combination. I ran it for 30 minutes and then opened her window for 2 hours and when i walked in i was expecting to hear music after i took a sniff of the air .. smell is gone.. so until next time i am no longer hit in the face with her pancake cigarettes. 4 stars only cuz the smell in the room is weird.. not a bad smell just a weird one , but it goes away after the room is aired out

This machine is definitely defective. I recommend Enerzen. I have 2 but should have bought another instead of this. I'm going to see if I can return it for repair. I had a maintenance man use it while I was out of town and the return time has just expired!

ease of usage

The prep -- remove anything living. Plants, animals, fruit, people, maybe even food. Clean up and sop up what ever you can. Put the do not enter safety tag on the door. Close any vents or windows.This is a very simple machine. Put the grounded 3 prong plug into the machine. Turn the dial to the desired time. Hear the fan spin up and the purple glow. Then run Like hell to close the door. And leave the area for time set plus an hour.Stink is gone. Even the musty towel on the bathroom smells good.The instruction booklet works and is in English.Uses. The musty boat, barn find car, RV, the camp cabin and that barn shower room.
