very poor saw from a very reputable company
Terrible saw. Assembly was fairly straight forward but blade was very out of line from the start, as much as 9mm so anything put through would pull away from the fence. Asked makita for assistance and got no help. The fence is next to useless, with any long timber it pivots on one end and moves out of true.Massive clunk as soon as it started and blew 13A fuses like they were going out of fashion. until the 3rd time i used it and then the whole thing stopped working.Thankfully Amazon were brilliant and i could return it for a refund.

Jury Out
I haven't got much experience with this type of product, so took advise from a friend on the sort of thing to get and how much to spend. With the De Walt product on the high end side for my purposes it was down to this and the Scheppach at a similar price. Reviews pushed me towards the Makita. It has been fine, but assembly really annoyed me and do think that a little more effort could have been put into the both table itself and the instructions. Attachment of the extension is particularly bad, and is so annoying because it could be fixed with a very simple design addition, that I managed to effect myself with a couple of corner braces. A proper review requires an assessment of the reliability which takes time but I hope this aspect has received more attention to detail than than the table.

Awful Tool
Terrible saw.Blade ; Is to big for the motor leaving no power to rip at any angle other that 90degrees.Fence; terrible flimsy and bends as material is fed through cuts are really inaccurate especially on sheet material.Extension bed is absolute faff to take off once setup and move.Angel adjustment of the blade is useless and requires tow knobs to be loosened and tightened. Blot threads wore out in a matter of weeks so the saw was unable to cut at any angle without blocks being cut to prop the motor up square.Dust extraction is awful. There is a funny plate positioned inside the hosing reducing the dust path and blocking any vacuums power instantly. If you rip anything other than man made sheets it will block within a handful of cuts and it all needs to be opened with spanner’s.Blade guard is flimsy and impossible to lift when you push the material up to it, absolutely uselessI would say any saw would be better. I am amazed it has not been discontinued it is that bad.I am a makita man but this is an awful tool.
