Sturdy, not too difficult for amateur install
I had a plastic towel rack outside my tub, that I had been using just for the tactile feedback aspect of balance. But as I'm getting older, I was finding more and more that I wanted to put some weight on it as well, but didn't trust it. So I came to my senses and selected this grab bar that closely matched it in length and shape. Swapped the towel rack for the grab bar (still gets also used as a towel rack) and now I can confidently lean on it as much as I like. Even though I don't REALLY need it yet, I didn't want to wait to discover that I really needed it by leaning on the plastic one enough to break it.

Fantastic solution for long towel bars in our tiny bathroom
We needed space in our tiny bathroom to hang 4 bath towels. These were a great solution.

The grab bar is fine.
The grab bar is fine. It appears to be sturdy enough and will provide an adequate grip to provide stability. It has plenty of holes to screw into studs. The problem was the package. One end of the package was torn open and some tape was used to do a poor job of trying to hold it together. The package of screws didn't get lost because it had a twist tie to hold it to the bar. However, the twist tie was barely twisted. The person or robot that attempt to attach it would have been kicked out of the Cub Scouts. The reviews complained about missing screws. This may be why.

Solid, well built!
Solid grab bar, well built, good finish. Came with all hardware to mount. We installed indoors so not sure how it will hold up to showers or outdoors. I would recommend it to anyone needing a positive grip handle to assist in helping with mobility. We screwed this into studs so it's very solid however it did come with drywall anchors so that is an option ( not recommended).

Provides something to grab
Coincidentally installed these a few weeks prior to an accident that left it difficult for me to stand for 8 weeks. Install some before it's too late.
