Value for money
If you're looking for a powerful vacuum cleaner without breaking the bank, the Russell Hobbs Hypermax 700w is a fantastic choice. The suction is exceptional—check out the photo of the dust it picked up from just one clean of a small townhouse. I was stunned by how much better it performed compared to my old vacuum. The long lead means no more frequent socket changes, and it was easy to assemble and use. Not too heavy and compact enough to store away easily. It looks smart, the build quality is great and the lights are a nice touch. Perfect for those who don't have back issues but for anyone with mobility concerns, a lighter model might be better. If not - I can highly recommend this. A luxury vacuum cleaner for a budget price!

Great value, good for messy house!
Brilliant hoover, very good suction and gets rid of all the tiny dog hairs which usually stick on the carpets. Opted for this hoover for the heavier duty jobs, we have an indoor rabbit as well as cat and dog, and our cordless Dyson v10 just wasn't doing the job anymore. This feels so much more powerful, albeit heavier and bigger, not as easy to navigate as the lightweight cordless, but if you need a good, effective hoover, this is the business! Definitely recommend. Paid £69 and it's worth every penny so far!

not bad value for the money
It's relatively light, and carries all the attachments around with it. The tools are useful and there are extra settings depending on what surface it is being used on.

lots of suction for a 700watt motor. Impressive
used this for a couple of months now, and still impressed.Last hoover i had was a 1800watt vax and picked up great, i tried a few of these new 700/800 watt hoovers but they just dont pick up the same, This one doesVery happy with the suction and even on a deep pile wool carpet it lifts the pile and cleans deeper than most hoovers.Great for tool storage on the hoover also, no more looking in cupboards for the tools. The light on the front is bright enough to see under chairs and tables, so never any bit missedIMO the hoover is very light even my mrs says she thinks its light weight compared to the old vax oneMy only con for it is the handle to attach the tools to is short, im 6ft 3" and i have to bend over to hoover round the skirtings, if there was an extension pole to go with it it would be a 10/10You can buy extensions from amazon though so not a total lossOverall 9/10 for this, half the price of alternatives but twice the suction. well pleased

Very rugged expensive look
Having purchased the repackaged (originally a Dust Devil) Athena a few months ago I didn't know you could buy this slightly more expensive model until recently.Mine is pictured after use! It's impressive. I like the more sensible cylinder with wider and easily unjammed openings inside. So far I've picked up chocolate wrappers and grass on the carpet without blockages. It looks and feels like a more expensive model. Then there's the tools. The cable is roughly 30 feet long. The suction is strong and it has floor level settings plus a handy light some old Hoovers used to come with.Easy to use. Might by heavy for some. Cylinder comes off easily. Has a foot level switch and pad for unlocking the angle to 'vacuum mode'.Wished I'd spotted it before ordering the other one but it's in a drop down option on the page not immediately obvious.

Top for the price
"great power and suction and a wide hose. I am blind and this was not bad to put together without being able to read the instructions. "i had to try bits in different places but once I figured it out it made sense. The hose is nice and wide which is good as someone else said for pet fur. I have 3 dogs and one is a 8 month old pup who decided to rip tedy rabbet's head off last night. The hoover hose picked up clumps of stuffing without any trouble. The suction through the main body is impressive and surprised me with how much dirt it picked up. Fur I expected but it got more dirt than fur the first go.Only down sides are the turbo tool isn't powerful and as others said a bit top heavy when using the hose. Very negligible for me as I have never had a hoover I could just leave at the top or bottom of stairs and stretch the hose. Our last upright was easy 20 years old and couldn't fit beneath most beds let alone stay perched atop the stairs. "i've had stick and cylinders in between and find the sticks lacking power and easy broke with the mileage in my house and cylinders clumsy space takers and too heavy for me with Spondololathesis. This is equally as good as a Dyson pet cylinder my friend gave me but half the weight and much more conpact.Only had it 2 days and I hope it's long lasting and that I can get replacement parts for it because it would be a huge disappointment with all its good points.

Fantastic, and no awful swivel head!
Hunting around for a while to find a more traditional style vacuum cleaner as we can't abide the swivel heads that most come with now. They're harder to manoeuvre! This is brilliant. Sturdy and excellent suction, easy to move around. Considering buying a second model as a spare as these non-swivel machines are so hard to find.

It's heavy and bulky.
The hoover itself is great the only problem is the weight but that's what you get when u buy an upright corded hoover. But picks up dust , bits great.
