Handbook of Tyranny: Expanded Edition

AN INCREDIBLE EYE-OPENING WORK of ART, ARCHITECTURE, PHILOSOPHY - AND MORE!
I purchased this book on a whim - and due to the other reviews and the limited sample available. This volume is high-impact, shocking and a true 'think piece' of vast import and inspiration. The graphics are simple and convey all the terror and hidden planning concepts behind a truly Orwellian world come to pass. The text is minimal and without a single unnecessary word - the Arendt concept of "the banality of evil" runs through this electrifying work from cover to cover. One cannot simply page through this without often pausing to ponder the information presented, lost in the implications and dread presented upon every single page. This has quickly become one of my favorite books - buy yourself a copy NOW before the very reasonable $20 price-tag jumps up into the ridiculously unaffordable zone, as happens with most books that present unpleasant truths about how you're being puppeted, controlled, and led down the hallway blissfully unaware until you face the rotating blades. Illuminating, edifying and down-right disturbing information handsomely presented in a sturdy, built-to-last format. Highly recommended.

An important work
I can only say that this is a very important book. For starters, it takes very disparate information (about the physical techniques used by governments and others to divert or control populations) and puts it into one place, with lots and lots of diagrams and illustrations. And then it diagrams (physical) controls used by and between governments to control populations. There's even a foldout map of all of the officially-sanctioned Terrorist organizations in the world, and their year of founding. It shows who can travel to what countries based on their passport country, and illustrates the various types of crowd-containment strategies used by (eg) police forces in urban areas. Although one might accuse the author of otherwise, there really is no particular axe to grind: these are basically just the facts, and I suppose there are probably many people in the world who are "for" usage of these tactics and physical barriers. It's the kind of thing most adults should have a copy of in their house.Oh, and did I mention that it's "fun"? One can read it or one can simply peruse it, coffee-table-style. No one who picks it up isn't fascinated by the thing.

It's NOT a hardcover....
Aside from that, its a very cool reinforced softcover book

The binding is nice too. Very sturdy
Every page will make you want sit back and think for a bit, and maybe take a break. It's fascinating, and it's informative enough not be entirely depressing. It's all worth your attention, and clearly presented. The binding is nice too. Very sturdy.

Stunning in it's impact and simplicity
I saw the author speak on the book shortly before publication. Even his dry swiss accent underscored the banal horror of the keen observations he has collected and presented. I also appreciate the author's efforts to present an alternative lens at the end of the book.

Tutto a posto ma..
Il libro é arrivato secondo i termini, nuovo e impachettato, ma ha una macchia, probabilmente dovuta alla stampa nella prima pagina

Brilliant.
Even better than I expected. The small number of preview images I viewed before purchasing looked excellent, and the book is consistently brilliant throughout. Obviously a niche subject though. There are a couple of fold out pages with larger diagrams. Brilliant book and well worth the money.
