A real quality umbrella - at last
This umbrella was bought as a present for my sister, so I am reporting her opinion on the quality of the brolly. The umbrella covering is very well made and fits snugly over the umbrella framework. The handle is comfortable to hold and the buttons, to automatically open and shut, are easily accessible using one hand. However one point she did make was that when automatically closing, it does so with a very definite vigorous movement, which on her first go made her jump, but she has now got used to it. The umbrella is definitely very sturdily made but we both feel that it is not as lightweight as some of the other cheaper umbrellas on the market. Saying that though she is really pleased with the performance of the brolly and it has definitely kept her dry and stayed up in these recent windy, wet days of weather we have been having. The umbrella comes in a very smart zip-up case and definitely looks far more expensive than it actually is. She is really pleased with this umbrella.

No regrets, push the button!
Windproof, until you read the label that says take care in the wind and aim your umbrella into the wind to prevent damage... Only fold away once dry... Oh and it's heavy, more so than your usual pocket umbrella. All that said, I love it!The push button fully open facility is awesome, I could sit here all day and push that button đYou close it with the button too, which thanks to a lovely sprung mechanism, will collapse the umbrella ready for you to compress it down again.I've yet to use it in the rain, which is fairly odd as we're in-between Storm Dennis at the moment, hoping to catch some rain on my commute tomorrow đOrder one, you'll not regret it!

Windproof, sturdy, presentable & compact - good for frequent travellers.
My previous umbrella that had been turned inside out by the wind. A colleague lent me this & I found it to be very effective. The vent allowed air/wind to escape through the flap whilst still keeping me dry. The venting system means it should last for a long time â since it can easily handle light/moderate wind conditions. It has a high quality feel to the construction - with a polished wooden handle & corded carry case that look very presentable. It opens with one click of the button, then another click collapses it â making it very easy to use (it does have to be pushed down to shorten it - but this is by design). It's compact - which helps since I travel frequently. When I store it in its pouch, it easily fits in my weekend bag or rucksack. Just be aware that the robustness of the materials & construction, does make it a little heavier than cheaper alternatives.Good umbrella for a reasonable price - ended up buying two for my family.

Does not lock in open position
This is quite a nice umbrella, but it does not lock into the open position like most umbrellas.Initially I thought this was a fault, but it is probably designed in.Coiled springs between the rods and the ribs close the umbrella, and flat springs hold it open.Walking into a 15mph wind today, the collar holding the rods moved 2-3 cm down the centre column, making the brolly slightly narrower. It didn't flip, and it kept me dry during a 90 minute walk in Storm Cristoph. If you can live with its tendancy to close slightly in strong winds, then it looks good and keeps you dry.

Never get wet again.
I love this umbrella as it means when itâs raining I can put the umbrella out of the car door, press the button to open it and not get wet. Itâs brilliant for the school run.I have used it in the wind and it is very sturdy so doesnât break but does turn inside out.

Interesting definition of windproof.
This is an indestructable umbrella, but that is because in any sort of breeze it just folds itself up. It's never turned itself inside out in the wind, but it hasn't managed to stay up either. Because of the automatic open and close it uses string through the tubing which doesn't stand up to pressure. It will never break, but it sure isn't windproof.
