Schmincke Horadam artists Watercolour Trial Set - Colour Selection 2 (6 x 5ml tubes)

I think these paints are very good, definitely professional quality. I am very happy with them and would absolutely recommend them to any serious painter, or someone who just likes a good quality paint.

Schminke colours are just great yet I didn't quite get the colours as seen - but perhaps that's my technique? This is the first time I've tried tubes - I'll be reverting to half pans I think.

This is my first time diving into the Schmincke watercolor world and I adore these paints and specifically these colors. My go to paint is M Graham and the Schmincke paint wets equally as well, I wouldn't suggest pre-spraying.These paints are top notch and are packed with pigment, especially the Potters Pink which has low tinting strength. Other brands of this pigment are more washed out and lack vibrancy, not Schminckes!The French Ultramarine is much warmer than most and you can tell it apart from other Ultramarine paints and it granulates gorgeously. Speaking of granulation, the Potters Pink, French Ultramarine, and Cobalt Violet Hue all granulate heavily and are gorgeous! The Perylene Green is a lovely deep green with more tinting strength than Daniel Smith's. The Quin Gold is lovely. The only Quin Gold I have is by QOR which is darker and more orange. I prefer the Schmincke version. Turner's Yellow. Gorgeous. Creamy yellow goodness. On its own it resembles a New Gamboge but in mixes it's brilliant. Mixed with the French Ultramarine created lovely muted greens. The mixing possibilities of this palette are endless.Give this 6 5ml kit a go, you can't go wrong.

I'm in love with the turners yellow and the perylene green 💜❤️ But even the other colors are subperb. Schminke is very luminous but not overly sheer, this paint is well rounded, smooth but not to smooth, and able to water down without losing vibrancy.

I love these watercolor paints. The granulate & layer beautifully! Schminke Horadam, & Daniel Smith are my favorite watercolor brands. I highly recommend them.

I purchased 6 small tubes just to try the brand I liked 3 out of 6 I was generally disappointed as I had heard this was a great brand! I did love the perylene green performed as well as quinacridone gold and Turner’s yellow The cobalt violet not so great Potters Pink is muddy and the ultramarine is just ok Not bad. This watercolor is expensive the company should send their best quality to introduce their brand Long wait time to receive it too
