Poems of Carol Ann Duffy

My daughter is starting 6th form in September and is taking English Literature. One of the poets being studied is Carol Ann Duffy, so came onto Amazon to look through what books where available.Poems of Carol Ann Duffy (York Notes Advanced) arrived within days of order and considering it was a second hand book was in perfect condition apart for a couple of foot notes..My daughter took it to school to show the teacher who was impressed and hinted that she may be borrowing it at the start of the school year.Will be looking for more used books on Amazon..

Currently studying the feminine gospels for A2 English literature. Not as much detailed as I had hoped and missing a few poems

A good old feminist rant about life. Just the thing for a Thursday evening at book club.

This book has excellent commentary... if any of the poems covered were actually on the 2020/2021 IGCSE Cambridge syllabus. Unfortunately, the publisher did not enable to “Look Inside” feature which would have let me see which poems are covered. My daughter is doing 15 Carol Anne Duffy poems, and not a single one of those in the current syllabus appears in this book. I took a gamble by buying a book I did not see the contents of and now I have a dud I can’t return (since I had it shipped to another continent).

Useful for my son during his A levels

A well written and useful study aid for students. Worth the money paid as I would have to have ordered it from a local shop and would have received it much later.

Selected poems　とあったので詩集かと思ったら、大学生用の解説書でした。文学的にどう作者や作品にアプローチしていくかという。勘違いして買ったけれど、でもこの本はこれでとても参考になるので楽しめます。文も平易でわかりやすいし。サブテキストにおすすめです。
