Simple and well explained.
Have read hundreds of books on Vedic and western astrology. But the author is simple. Very logically explained, simple and easy to understand, must be read in conjunction with Cornell, Judith Hall, Raphael, J.N. Bhasin and Jaganath Rao to get your Medical astrology concepts clear..very simple rules and easy to apply effectively.

A Nice Addition to Your Astrological Health & Wellness Library
This was a nice little book that covered quite a few different areas of nutrition. It would have needed to be much bigger, perhaps a couple of volumes to cover "Nutrition" in any great depth, however, it gives the reader a lot to consider.Given the fact that it was written in 1977, information about nutrition has expanded considerably, however, connecting nutrition to personal astrology signatures is not something everyone knows about. A reader would certainly have to have a little better than basic background in astrology to keep the "heady concepts" of health and astrology on parallel tracks. Having said that, our bodies today still need certain nutrients, vitamins, minerals and food combinations that are presented in this book.Jansky's writing style has a very serious energy to it, so this is a "little book" that calls for the reader to approach this work in a studious manner. It's not a "quick-fix" read. It's not a book that presents a "magic bullet cure-all" for diseases and disorders of the body. But it IS a book, that if read carefully, with a solid knowledge of the planetary, sign, house and aspect archetypes, the reader will glean some very useful and applicable information.

A "Sit-Up-In-The-Buggy" Read!
I have been a professional astrologer for over 35 years and this is one of the most comprehensive, in-depth 'readable' references I have ever experienced in medical astrology. Linking signs, planets (and particular aspects) to their respective body, organ and glandular function (or dysfunction)~ this book expands the correlation between nutrition and potential imbalances with suggestions on how to improve/correct them. Also included is a chapter on planetary influences (transits) for 'elective' (best time) surgery; those critical points that may indicate the onset of serious illness and/or potential times of death. The author reminds the reader that certain planetary influences occurring in a person's chart are not meant to be taken as specific indicators for the moment of death alone, but rather, offer useful insights into the time-table for particular imperatives and crisis points. A most enlightening book, I have added this to my collection of advanced astrological material. Although the copyright is 1975, this book by Robert Carl Jansky is FAR beyond it's time, even by today's standards! Highly recommended!

Hilla whole new world will open up to you about your own health and "general conversation complaints" of others.Questions and suggestions were given to a couple of my clients for a Dr. visit...... the improvements in their health some time later is remarkable.... their physicians were even impressed with "how well they knew their bodies" !!!!!!

Amazing!
I own multiple books on astrology, probably around 30 from the great authors such as Tyl, Hand, Spiller, Greene, Arroyo, Cunningham, Pond, Parker, etc. I was relatively unfamiliar w/ this author but was interested in the title. Each page of this thin book contains 5 pages of information you'd find in the other books. His writing style is clear and to the point. I found it difficult to put this book down and honestly to fully absorb each page (usually I read a book quickly and still retain information) I did linger on his words. I now wish more of his books were still in print. If you have any interest in health and nutrition,or just astrology in general this book is a gem.
