4G SIM card WiFi Modem Portable USB 4G Router with SIM Card Slot High Speed Portable Travel Hotspot Mini Router Unlocked 4G dongle

Bought this to keep in my car so my head unit has Internet connection, took out an entire new sim only contract and everything - and it just doesn't work. Consistent red light on the signal/Internet connection light, checked the sim card in my phone and works fine.Considering there's 100s of dongles on Amazon, I'd go elsewhere.

2nd week on a road trip in Europe. Drove from UK to France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. It’s a life savior! Pop in your SIM card and you have internet on the go everywhere! It consumes very little energy, so it seems like you can have portable internet indefinitely with a decent power bank. It starts within under a minute and has a good Wi-Fi signal. Best purchase of the year.

Connects as it should, instruction manual could be alot mpr informative, dont know what the different coloured lights represent, anyone know

Worked for two days and after that you can't sign in to the network making it useless. Sent back it is the second time this happened to me I don't recomend this Item...

I purchased this dongle so I could use it with internet sim card as a portable wi-fi spot without having to switch from one sim to another on my phone. After working well for a couple of weeks the connection started to fail and now it seems impossible to reconnect at all.I have spoken to my sim provider and it's not the sim card, because the internet is working fine when the sim is inserted into my phone.Will be sending it back unfortunately

The Router arrives in a small little box, but be careful as there is a small SIM card needle tool included which luckily I spotted in the actual main box from Amazon as it slipped out of its original box. It also comes with an instruction manual that includes how to change the default admin password, which is a big plus for anyone using public domains.It has a good feel to it, and looks nice, including the safety lid for the usb, which only goes on one way. Connection is via a Nano-sim card, but be aware that it is a standard usb so if using on a phone, you will need an adapter.Overall, it’s very good, connects well and very useful if you're out and about. However, you have to charge it fully before use (hence the standard usb) on your computer, which can be interesting if you up a mountain and find out you have no charge left on it.

This dongle works well, a mobile SIM is inserted inside the actual USB plug part, and then once inserted into a power source it connects and is available within about 10 seconds which is impressive.I've used a lot of 4G Mobile dongles over the years, they are great when travelling as they save your mobile phone's battery. They're also useful if you have kids with tablet's as they can all connect without having to mess about with public Wi-Fi sign-ups!Like all other devices I've used, you can access the menu of this router using your connected device to change the Wi-Fi name and password (simply go to 192.168.0.1 and then to WLAN Basic Settings - I've added a photo). As this uses a mobile SIM, you can also send SMS from the menu or view any received messages.This works really well, but as it has to be externally powered this can be an issue. You could plug it into a powerbank but if it got knocked and came out then you'd instantly lose connection.If this an internal battery or if it was priced considerably less than those that do then I would have given this 5 stars, but for just a little more money you can get a 4G Wi-Fi device with an internal battery and that makes it much more convenient as you can simply throw them in your bag and not have to worry about it!In a nutshell: If you are going to leave it plugged in somewhere then this is a great solution, but if you want a truly portable 4G Wi-Fi network then it's perhaps best to invest a few extra pounds and get one with a battery,

The dongle does not work. Wifi keeps dropping, the blue light either blinking or completely off. Red light for network - all the time. Only works shortly after resetting, then goes red again.
