Comfortable, good shoes to hike in. Also works well for work.
These shoes were definitely great for the different hiking trips I took the last few weeks. These also work pretty well for work shoes. I am not entirely sure if it is good for construction but the toe is pretty well protected (not steel toe). These shoes fit perfectly for me without much issue. It does take some breaking in but they are pretty comfortable after your wear them. They are definitely a solid pair of shoes and the soles are well attached. It is durable which means they take a bit of time to get used to. It does not wear down very easily nor is it easy to see dirty on them. If you were thick socks, these shoes hug your feet pretty tightly so be aware of that. They have really good grip on the bottom so you can easily grip when doing long hikes. You do not have to worry about slipping or anything. One thing I will say is that the color is a simple black color. It is not too flashy or anything like that. The shoes themselves feel pretty nice and work well for work that requires you to walk a lot. The outer layer is in good shape and well built so it will protect your feet from most of terrain (minus snow). You can easily move around in these shoes. I walked through dirt path, rocks, some sand and through a small river although it is not water proof so be aware of that (had no choice). The bottom insoles are cushioned so it will not feel uncomfortable and provide a good cushion through really long hikes. I could use these to walk around with some light running (not long distance running) and my feel feet great although I will say it does get a bit heavy with water so make sure not to step into deep water. It does not breath too well so air out the shoes after so you will not get bad odors. The bottom soles do not wear out too quickly which is great. It is well padded so you can be sure to be comfortable for long distances. The laces are very durable as well so you do not have to worry about them fraying or falling apart. The design looks great and stylish. Overall these shoes are great for hikes. They lasted me a long time through all the hikes I have done and they are easy to wash. I still did not have any issues with it wearing down very quickly. Only thing is that they do have an odor if you happen to sweat a lot so air and clean after use. They are also not the lightest shoes so be aware of that. They are meant to be protective so the material is thicker.

Excellent shoes.
I held off writing this review to really test these out and they pass with flying colors. I use them for biking and hiking and have held up superbly. They are an aggressive shoe and what I mean about that is they have some weight to them and the gripping is pronounced. If you are looking for a lighter shoe they might be suitable for you but they are comfortable and fit well. I got the shoes slightly wet on a couple occasions and my feet remained dry. Good product.

Almost great.
I have to walk through a lot of swampy grass while making deliveries here in rural Florida. I normally wear light breathable running shoes but water always seeps in soon as conditions get wet. For the price, I thought I'd try these. As for functionality they are great. Styled like a running shoes so flexible to walk in all day. Seem durable and keeps the water out. I love the treads and firm foot bed.The bad part for me is yhey only come normal width. I'm a ee wide and always have to size up in order to even get a somewhat suitable fit. I can't for the life of me understand why a shoe manufacturer fails to provide shoes that fit proper by offering width options. This shoe would be perfect with my ee option.

Comfortable, affordable and dry!
Bought these for a trip to Europe. Very little break-in time and yet they were comfortable all day long. Got home and wore them in a snow storm using my snowblower, my shoes on the outside were soaking wet and yet my feet were bone dry! Better waterproofing than any pair of North Face, Merrell or Keen shoes I have had and they are half the price. Great purchase, highly recommended.

Well made and comfortable
I bought these shoes eight months ago not really expecting much for the price. Even today these shoes are extremely comfortable. The first thing I did with these shoes is go hiking on long, difficult terrain in Cashiers, NC. They held up great and still look close to new. I can't believe how well they have held up after all I have put them through. I will definitely buy them again if they ever do wear out.

Great concept, decent shoe except for one major flaw.
I bought these because I was tired of doing yardwork, which takes me about an hour and a half, and at the end of it my shoes being wet or just completely being destroyed after a few months. When I received them, they looked great, the fit was great, I was excited for the following weeks yardwork. During the first use, the BIG problem with these shoes showed bright. They rubbed blisters on my heels raw, and no, the sizing wasn't wrong. The shoe fits perfect, little snug, but that's what you want. Problem is, the back part of the shoe, that's on your heel, does not hug like it should or have any padding to keep the shoe from rubbing. To make matters worse, there is a stitch seam, right across your upper heel in the worst possible spot. Now, I'm a runner, 2.5 miles a day, so I don't have soft feet, but these things are a nightmare. Now I did buy some heel pad, stick-ons to try and fix the problem and it definitely helps and at least eliminates the seam going right across the upper part of your heel. But definitely beware.

Exceeded all expectations. Great budget hiking shoe!
Bought these for 10 days in Scotland when I realized I didn’t have room in my suitcase for my full hiking boots. Hiked these all over Scotland and loved them. Plenty of grip and never once became uncomfortable. We did one hike that ended up being in nearly nonstop rain. And lots of puddles and pools from that rain. I noticed my right foot started feeling wet. But literally right at that moment my wife said one of her feet was feeling wet. And she’s in much more expensive hikers. Just shows you that no shoes are completely immune to water from all sides AND these held up just as well as the big brands.

Great shoe.
Super comfortable and fit perfectly, easy on and off. If they last, I'll give'm 6 stars.

Excellent hiking shoes tested over three weeks in South America!
I bought these hiking shoes for our three week trip to Bolivia and Peru. They were the only shoes I brought on the trip. I used them for mountain biking down "death road" in Bolivia, hiking on Isla Del Sol, the five day Salkantay hike to Machu Picchu, and walking around Peru. During the biking and hiking there were times when we had to cross streams. My feet stayed dry the entire time. The shoes were incredibly comfortable with a cushiony insole over a firm and grippy sole that allowed me to walk confidently over the rocky trails. I even ran down a few mountains for about an hour each time. The comfort and ruggedness also provided perfect city walking shoes and were exceptionally great for the cobble stone streets that can be slippery with normal shoes. My feet never felt cold (although they are a little warm for temps over 85f). Because of the all the loose rocks, there were a few days on the trip when I wished they were boots covering my ankles but the design did help stabilise my footing and my feet were protected well from the loose rocks. Although I think they will last a very long time, I would buy them again should I need to in the future.
