Great gift
We gifted this to a friend, the child enjoyed using it as it was so easy, the size was perfect so it was convenient to carry it around. The price was great and definitely durable. The picture was clear and the zoom options were great.

Son Loved It
Purchased this as a gift for our little 8 year old scientist in the making. He has absolutely loved this handheld microscope. Battery life lasts a long time. Easy to use. A great little device to introduce kids to the wonders of science.

Fun for the kid.
Bought as a birthday gift for my great grand son. He loves it. His mom love that he sets for hours watching the birds.

It’s ok
Works amazingly really !! The problems I have is I wish the eye piece was rubber and a bit wider , along with a clip to attach it to a phone or another device for digital photos or videos

Good for price
Awesome! Worked when we were buy the creek and it really saw tiny things. Only bad thing it that it takes a while to focus/set up

It's a Small, Small World!
This little microscope works great. The slides provided offer great views of tiny objects to pique ones imagination. This microscope could be the beginning of a young persons career in science. Adults can see into the world of miniscule.Having a background in veterinary medicine, I bought this scope hoping to inspect blood cells, parasites, and microscopic eggs, etc. At the highest magnification I can see a "batch'" of blood cells that equal 40 magnification on a normal microscope, but can't pick out individual blood cells.Still, it's fun to look at tiny stuff.Update: I used this microscope just a couple times now the lights do not work even after trying several batteries. Bummer.

Not so good
Holding it in your hand it will never be clear. Not the best lens. Jewels loop is better and cheaper. 2x for 8.99

Good for what it is!
Great for what it is! It is a cheaper, portable field microscope. Only has so much zoom, but what it does have is pretty good. I don't understand why people say it's hard to focus, it really isn't, it's quite easy to use. The slides are a nice way for you to understand how the magnification and focus knobs work best for you and what to expect to see.Best optics will come from a steady hand or stationary placement. You will lose the focus if you move it - it's not a stationary microscope, it won't work exactly like one. All of that being said, I am an adult who likes to see all the little things that make up all the big things, so the focusing was easy for me. Children will more than likely need help and some patience with a potential learning curve.Otherwise it's a great and compact way to see the smaller things out in the world!
