Leaf Filter and Downspout Cleanout, Gutter Guard, Gutter Downspout Extensions, Downspout Adapter, Downspout Diverter, Leaf Eater (Black, 3 x 4 Gutters)

I needed to bury a few downspouts and wanted to be sure it was done right. Found FDM on YouTube and thought he made a lot of sense. When my 2 filters arrived the quality was apparent immediately. These aren't the cheap filters you pick up at the local hardware store. They are THICK, heavy duty plastic. The first thing I though of were the old green and orange Tupperware containers from my childhood in terms of thickness the door goes on and stays on, it's easy to install, and does exactly what it claims. It's pricey, but when you hold it you know exactly why it costs more and it it is definitely cheaper than a flooded basement or foundation damage.

A bit pricey but a great product. I used this for an underground downspout. The built-in Leaf filter and the overall usability is quite nice. A well thought out design. I have another buried downspout project to do and will likely buy this product again.

Great quality easy install.

My downspout feeds into a drywell so the need to keep the gutters clean so the drywell doesn’t get clogged with debris is important. Only problem is the gutter is so high I need to hire a contractor to clean it. I just installed this device and after its first rainstorm it was full on stuff from a nearby oak tree. Amazing! Easy to clean out and looks like it belongs there. Worth every penny!

They are a nice looking unit and more attractive than a typical Y-cleanout. They make it easier to remove leaves & debris, plus the door and grill are removable to place a garden hose to help clear the drain.Originally ordered one to see how I liked it and to see how easy it was to install. Then ordered 3 more for the downspouts. This definitely helps with the underground gutter drain system.I opted to install one slightly higher off the ground taking into consideration it was in a landscape bed and would be a bear to get to when the shrubberies get larger. This should make it easier to get to over time. The rest were all installed lower to the ground and as you can see, they blend in nicely.They are a bit on the pricey side and that's the reason for less than 5 stars.Will update more when Spring arrives and the helicopter seeds release.

Tried the cheap options from HD and Lowe's. Complete waste of money, as water just careens out of the front. This one does exactly what it needs to do. Strong materials, well-designed, clearly had a lot of thought put into it. Don't waste your money on the cheap junk.Highly recommend.

I had a new gutter system on my Florida home where the downspouts were targeted into a small catch basin with air between. It only worked for light rain. Heavy rain led to a mess around my foundation.I removed the downspout extensions, sawed off some of the downspout, plugged these in and connected them to the existing PVC drains toward popup emitters well away from the house. Now the area around the foundation remains mostly dry during the torrential summer downpours.The cleanout will be a helpful feature in the future. Nice product.

Water no longer bubbling up out of the transition from downspout to drain tile.But how can the price go up $10 in two weeks. Pushing $100 each. Priced me out of getting more for the rest of the house for now.
