IRIS USA UB Space Saving Unit with Adjustable Shelves, 10-Inch, Walnut Brown/White

I'm actually pretty surprised by how stable these are - I was worried that being so slim they wouldn't stand on their own. They're really cool shelves and enable me to get the most storage space possible out of my work room. I just stick the 7" one anywhere that I've got an 8" wide clearance. Read the dimensions for the shelf size you plan to buy because 7", for example, refers to appx 7" (it's actually 6 7/8") of shelf width inside the unit - outside will be an inch more. I'm finding tons of places to just stick one or two of these - the 7" version holds 7 of my sketchbooks which is more than I expected. The 2 shelf version isn't very tall (22" inside) and I ended up not even using the middle shelf so it could hold things like canvases and watercolor boards. They're stable and not wiggly even without the middle shelf. They also have holes in the sides and in one of the bottom/top pieces and come with hardware that enable you to screw rows of shelf units together side by side by side and also stacking the shelf units two high. If you want to stack more than two units high, you will need to drill holes, however, because only one of the top/bottom pieces has predrilled holes for you, so keep that in mind when planning.the only reason I took one star off is because I find it just totally hideous that the shelves and back pieces are white while the sides are like a dark walnut color. I mean, really, ew. Since they're for my work room I can deal with that but I can't see using them anywhere else in the house even though there are places I would LOVE to have a slim shelf like this.

Update 1-16-21 : These shelves have been moved twice and still look great! Still very happy with this purchase!I am impressed! We live full-time in a 5th wheel at a resort and were short on clothing space. I looked for over a month for shelves in colors that would match the existing scheme but, more importantly, I struggled to find shelves that would fit the specific dimensions where I had a little extra space. I searched for wall cabinets, media cabinets, shallow shelves, slim shelves, narrow shelves, etc but nothing came close to the dimensions I needed. I was preparing to pay over $100 for a shelf that I’d have to cut the base with a saw to fit, when I found these. I was skeptical they would work but purchased them because I had no other choice. I received them within 2 days with prime shipping and got to work putting them together immediately. They appeared to be made of dense laminated pressed board - definitely not light. Pieces were packed well. It had counter-sunk holes for the coarse-threaded bolts that held the top and bottom boards to the side panels and it had a slot cut into all 4 frame pieces for a backer board. It had good instructions and was fully assembled in 10 minutes. I built the second shelf to stack vertically and attached them together using joiners that were supplied with each unit. This was a great purchase and I wish I’d known about this product years ago. Definitely worth the money!

Quality build, it would be nice to have a different color.Also the listed dimensions are for the external dimensions, not internal. The 14" shelf is really 13.5" with an internal shelf width of about 12.75", i bought this shelf to fit some of my square board game boxes. The largest are 13", so only half of mine will fit.It looks like the 2 sides take up about .75 inch, so be sure to check the actual dimensions, not those in the title. Then adjust for the sides.

Adds space in tight spots. Easy assembly

I bought (2) of these units to go into a 6" gap between my refrigerator and cabinets. I stacked one on top of the other to completely fill the space. The dimensions say 34" tall.......but they are actually 35"...........so it is a little taller that I wanted, but it still looks great. They were incredibly easy to assemble and really well made. They also arrived very well packed ...with no damage of any kind. I am happy with this purchase and would recommend them.

This is great for dorms or areas that you are limited on space.

Edit: Cancer Recovery; Wrote last Review on we 12 stomach cancer medicine's that made me foggy, healing and put one together with patience and if you takenyour time and dont rush (it will take you less than 45 min, and I did it alone with Stomach Cancer in an office)Its not easy finding things this size espically online you don't know if it's Ikea type junk or a gem. This is a gem for the price and compatible features it had with the other sizes and such.The accent of white on brown is great.The backing suprised me. Its supported well, and its thicker than most other ones on cheap things like this product that are just there to cover the back, these are made for books. You don't feel any give if done right when pressing with slight force.With small detail, maybe a con? It tends to crumble when shot ablut 8 meters with a .38 Round. So dont do whatand hit his head through t. So don't hold it yp to protect yourself against a bullet unless its larger ver. With hefty hefty hefty books.

So I have the worlds smallest closet bathroom in the master bedroom in my house and the sink that was installed did not meet the requirements for the amount of space needed for cleaning essentials. In a search for something to be a great additon, not cost an arm and a leg, and also some how fit in the tiny space granted; this came to my rescue. It fits PERFECT! I ofcourse measured the area before purchasing, but it is exactly what I needed! I now have additonal space under the sink that I did not before for toilet paper and other things my cat might decide to destroy. Word of caution: styrofoam party in your pants. I wiped down each piece with some pledge to remove the excess, but also had to sweep a bunch up off the floor. Also recommend a drill if you don't want your hands to hate you. I gave 4 stars to sturdiness because the back is that thin cardboard feeling material, but wouldn't cause me issues for my needs. Overall seriously recommend this shelf if you need space whete there is none. Will recommend and purchase again in the future!

It looks good, it makes a great bedside table for cramped spaces. I took off 2 stars due to some damage when the package arrived. It was in poor shape and the unit itself had some obvious cosmetic damage. Enough to make me give it 3 stars but not enough for me to disassemble it again, repack (with the damaged box) and ask for a replacement. I suggest you inspect yours before assembly so you can send it back if needed.

Perfect little shelf for a tight spot. Easy to assemble. Sturdy. Could be a little deeper but all in all happy with my purchase.

This is a lovely slim shelf for putting small items, it fits in small area and creates convenience for arm reaches, I use it for tall facial bottles I used before bedtime, awesome! It looks nice and easy to install.

This fits perfectly under the IKEA Vittsjo laptop desk, and was exactly what I needed to keep my books and paper close at hand.
