The product: I’m very happy that I was able to salvage my backpack using this product. Their instructions and video guide were very helpful with installation. So far it has held up well and is working as intended. I read other reviews that said that the knurled tightening screw can loosen, so I’ll be keeping an eye on that. If this does become an issue, I may try some Loctite on it. Regardless, this is the simplest and easiest solution I have found.The customer service: I ordered two FixnZip large black nickel zipper sliders to repair the 10 mm zippers on my backpack. Amazon delivered the envelope promptly. Although it contained two FixnZip packages, the side of the plastic bubble on one of them had been shattered and did not contain the actual item. The envelope didn’t contain the zipper nor the plastic shards, so this likely happened at the Amazon warehouse and they missed that one package was empty. The company affixed a sticker to the packaging that reads: “If you have trouble with installation, please contact us before you return. We would love to troubleshoot or exchange sizes at no cost. We are a small business that takes pride in customer service.” (Followed by a URL & phone number.)I called the number dreading having to deal with an automated phone system, and then having to explain or defend what had happened. Instead, a friendly guy answered right away. He apologized for the problem, thanked me for calling, and asked me to text him with the item I had ordered and my address. I got the replacement directly from them a few days later. They really do seem to be a small business that takes pride in customer service.I will definitely use this product again if I need a replacement zipper.

Easy to install, just clamp it on and tighten the screw. There's clear instructions included, with illustrations, and videos on their website. Be sure to order the right size, per the Amazon product description. They're well made and look sturdy.My case was slipcovers on outdoor seat cushions, which inexplicably used zinc/aluminum pulls (with nylon zippers). These were near the ocean, and of course the salty mist corroded them, simultaneously weakening and welding them in place. Some I was able to free, and had enough metal left to be functional, but others were a lost cause. I don't take the covers off often, because it's a pain, but there's a point where the cushions can't just be brushed and hosed off and have to be washed.A bit over-priced, but much cheaper than replacing the covers or having someone repair the zipper.

CHECK YOUR SIZING!!! I need to start my review with this because I did not do my due diligence and assumed that this zipper repair kit follows the standard sizing but it's not a standard zipper clasp.This clasp is better! Let's start out with the pros!1. It does not require you to cut, break or tear out any pieces of your current zipper.2. It doesn't clip in or un-clip by bending anything. It has a thumb screw. This makes it easy to reuse the repair clasp in the event that your garments zipper ever sustains further damage or you simply decide to throw it out.3. It's designed to repair multiple styles of zipper types.Is it perfect? No, it has some cons, minimal in my opinion but given that I experienced them during my use i feel its best to keep you informed.1. Check your sizing. I was researching SO MANY different variants of repair clasps that I started to see commonalities in sizing and became complacent in assuming I 'knew' what size I needed without checking the guide first. This clasp is designed to fit a range of tracks and you need to check your sizing.2. The kit came with pieces that I had no idea what they were for. It had to research what exactly they were for as the instructions were pretty basic and made no reference to their intent.3. Size? This repair clasp is a little on the larger side. It's due to the unique deign of the product. I would imagine this being better suited for more industrial type applications. (jackets, sleeping bags, purses, tents) etc... I would not be repairing your pants pull zipper or your pretty dainty garments with this style. (Do you want a pull string on your fly or a pull ring?) :DExperience with the company has been nothing short of outstanding. I ordered a large repair kit for my alpine stars jacket that i so dearly love. Ive had that jacket for 20 years and will wear it for the rest of my life! After trying desperately to fix the zipper that broke without destroying it further, I became frustrated in how this clasp just would not stay on. After reaching out to the company they informed me i had the wrong size and offered to immediately ship the right one out. I took them up on the offer but because I was dying to wear my jacket on a ride coming up in two days time, I ordered a second set from amazon (love that speedy shipping!). Both units arrived on the same day and before my ride! As pleased as I was with the service I kept the extra one I bought from amazon. Now I have a backup if a zipper breaks on a pocket or something.All in all, I have been very impressed with the build quality this has. My alpine stars jacket from 20 years ago still looks perfect and this zipper clasp and restored it to perfection! Time to ride! GTG!

Instructions are easy to understand and with the 2 short tutorial videos on the Amazon ad was so easy to understand what size I needed and how to install it and I installed it in about 30 seconds with no problems at all and it works great!

Got this for a travel bag I really like. At first the zipper didn't work, but installing it on the other side worked out. Couldnt see where the zipper bottom was due to it being hidden.The teeth all close together, from the beginning to the end. It seems you can tighten the screw down too much, as it's more difficult to pull the zipper. Overall, works well and time will tell how long it lasts.

Installed in a minute and worked beautifully. I pre-read the sizing guidelines before ordering using calipers to measure width required......mine was a medium. I watched the video and installed the zipper with minor fiddling and it worked immediately. Ordered it on Amazon, arrived the next day. A bit pricey, but saved a lot of money as the item I was fixing would have been garbage without a repair solution. Very happy with the result.

The mid size was fit for my 13yrsold Columbia winter jacket.
