Perfect replacement
Unscrewed the broken cap and put the new one in. Simple replacement.

PIECE OF CRAP
Do not buy this piece of crap. Broke almost immediately. TOTAL rip off.I am editing my review, to include, that the seller did replace the product.I would still recommend that the lens be glued in, before use. This is what I will do.

Plastic cap
The plastic clear cap on the top popped off after 2 days. Otherwise worked good and fit well

Fit but broke within a week
Hose barb cracked almost immediately. Clear part came loose within 3 weeks. I just siliconed it.

Don’t buy
Complete garbage is an understatement. First the clear plastic that the vent line attaches fogged up. Next the clear plastic came loose from the top of the cap. Tired of hearing the metal Guage part rattling, so worked that off over the red pointer. Pointer is almost useless it does move with level of gas in tank. Going to put the oem one back on that is in same condition. Took 2 months for this pile of garbage to look like oem that took 20 years.

Good fit and function.
Fits perfectly and works well. Easy fix for the cloudy sight glass and guessing on fuel level.

I bought on June 12th & the top separated already!
Purchased this as my last unit separated and leaked water into the tank!This piece only lasted a few weeks & did exactly the same thing, only faster! Garbage!!!!Do not buy!!!

Fits perfect but terrible quality
After 3 days of being on the machine the top lens went foggy and the glue seems to have melted. They don’t seem to use glue or plastic that is safe for use with gasoline cause it was perfectly fine until I filled it up and a very small amount was spilled on it. You’d expect a gas cap could handle gas. Only reason it’s not 1 star is it does fit perfect and look the same as the original and the gauge works well but the lens is trash.
