This is the third instant read thermometer I've purchased on Amazon, including a less expensive model from ThermPro. This is a little more money, but well worth it. The thermometer is rugged and will last longer than less expensive ones. It provides very accurate readings, and the instant readings are much more 'instant' than lower price models.A very good, chef quality thermometer. It has helped me produce meals that are cooked perfectly. A little more costly than alternatives, but if you think of the cost of all the meat you will cook over the next 10 years (which is the warranty of this thermometer), the cost of this thermometer is well worth it! Would buy again, and have recommended to friends.

Until recently, I had a cheap old thermometer that I used for years until I started baking bread and needed something that could tell me the temperature more quickly. I did a quick check on Amazon and came across this model and the reviews have definitely been earned! It is accurate, easy to read, and most importantly to me, lightning fast. No more heat escaping while I wait with my oven door open!

wasn't sure I needed instant 1-second, however very happy with quality, size, display, and most importantly instantaneous temperature. Using it more than I thought I would. Very happy.

This was a replacement for a similar probe we used for about two years before it fell apart. This one is visibly better constructed and is accurate and easy to use. A limitation of hand held probes like this is that it is hard to hold and read inside a hot oven, but well suited for more accessible targets.o
