I bought my original Arlo Pro system a couple of years ago as a birthday present for my wife, who wanted a trail-cam to monitor nocturnal wildlife in our garden. We have been very pleased with the original camera and found it to be ideally suited to this task, especially as there's no need to remove memory cards to view the footage. Depending on the number of triggers, the battery can go for about 6 weeks before a charge is needed in the summer, although this falls during the winter.This camera was bought as an addition to the existing system and we found it very easy to add and configure it. Unlike the original camera, the Pro 2 has full 1080 resolution and this can be seen in the picture quality.I advise clients on physical and technical security matters and have recommended Arlo Pro systems for both commercial and residential properties. It every case, the client has been very pleased and found it to work well, with minimal configuration or the need to run cables. One thing to note, take care to ensure that sunlight doesn't shine directly into the camera, as this will cause false triggering, as does vegetation close to the camera which is blowing in the wind.

I had been looking for some security cameras for the house and came across the reviews of these online.They are excellent quality and built to last. Battery life is superb (6-7 weeks for me), and accessories are wide ranging and easy to get hold of.I’ve got the base station with local recoding with 1x Pro (720p) and 1 Pro II camera (1080p). Both are excellent quality in normal, low light and at night. The app is intuitive and easy to set up on your own schedule. Location based scheduling is ok but doesn’t really work if there’s more than one on your household.I’ve used the app abroad to give me some assurance whilst I’m on holiday and it’s done that and more, I. Ow know which neighbour I need to thank for taking my bin out!If your after some home security camera’s then buy these and I can’t see you regretting it!

I have reviewed this product before. Here is my yearly update. Still very happy with this product. I am running it in parallel with the Canary system. This is much better than Canary. Notification is very quick. Downloading is very easy and fast. The picture quality is good enough. There are newer products out there. Arlo has some themselves that will have better picture quality. But this product does what I need and it has proven itself reliable over (2? 3? years).The AI that allows you to detect/not detect animals, cars, etc. actually works really well.I know other reviewers have had problems but I have not encountered any of these.

Bought two in new year sale, to replace two of three ordinary Arlo cameras, which I've moved inside. Very easy to setup and install.Very sensitive to motion (trigged by neighbour's cat, but sensitivity can be adjusted). Sound detection may be too sensitive and can easily be triggered on a windy day, so best leave turned off, but could be useful in some scenarios.Image and sound capture is very good quality, both day and night. I have no complaints at all.It is very easy to set up custom modes on the Android app, to set your own recording rules. We have set the external Arlo Pro cameras to trigger the original internal Arlo cameras through the window when they detect motion. This works very well. You can further set the internal cameras to trigger a siren if you have the Pro base station.All in all, impressed. The only drawback is the price, which is much more than I would normally pay for technology... so keep an eye out for sales!

I have had the Arlo Pro 2 cameras for over a year, 3 of them and about 3 weeks ago they provided the best evidence I needed to get rid of them. My car was broken into on my driveway, in clear view of the camera yet it did not trigger and record anything, I had my zones setup, notifications working, in the day time it would see and capture motion in those areas but when most needed it did nothing and there is plenty of light in the evening/night in my driveway. It would have been far better to have a system that continually records rather than one that relies on motion to activate, I know Arlo offers a subscription for continued recording (30 days rolling), but considering the price I have paid for 3 cameras, base station and other accessories taking the price over £700 it is simply a waste of money. A Swann 2TB NVR system with 4 x 4K cameras is retailing at £400 on other websites (Costco) and is far better value and better technology. I regret ever installing this Arlo rubbish.

This is a fantastic camera. Motion detection is incredible and the camera is awesome. Great wide angle. Good app.However, we bought this thinking it was a standalone piece of kit. We didn't realise we needed a hub. We nearly sent it back after buying the hub and another camera from argos, however the system is so good that we decided to keep it and have two 😁

I've had Arlo cameras for a while and generally they are an excellent product. Easy to set up, and easy to use.The Pro 2 was a step up from the earlier Arlo, and whilst there are newer versions now (Pro 3 and Ultra) they still have great features. Rechargeable long lasting battery, 2-way-sound and wide viewing angle.Why 3 stars? Because after no issues for 16 Months (i.e. warranty just finished) the camera died. Nothing can be done to revive it. The battery charges ok, and i have even swapped it for a known working one. All I get is the blue light lights up for 2 seconds, then, nothing. Dead dead dead!Checking on the forums other people have had the same issue, and Arlo will replace if you're in warranty. If you're just out of warranty! Well that's £180 for 16 months of disposable camera. £11.25 per Month. As you can imagine, I'm not best pleased.I would have expected there to be a hard "factory reset" button to get the thing back to a workable state.Caveat Emptor!

Did not work at all

Nachdem ich schon ein Set aus Basisstation und 3 Kameras Arlo Pro 2 installiert hatte habe ich nun eine weitere Kamera integriert.Ich bin hochzufrieden!Zuvor das Blink System verwendet. Das ist aber zu instabil, hat zu oft Verbindungsprobleme und dreht bei auslösen oft zuviele Videos. Daher eher praktikabel im Innenbereich nahe Router und für Einsteiger zum Spielen.Mit Arlo habe ich nun anhaltend gute Performance (Router Frizzbox), zuverlässige Auslösung, angenehme und praktikable App, Basis Paket bis 5 Kameras ohne Mehrkosten bei 1 wöchiger videospeicherung, Videos aber jederzeit abspeicherbar auf Smartphone oder Datenträger, kabellos mit gut haltenden und schnell wiederladbaren Akkus ....Rundum zufrieden für Zwecke der privaten Überwachung, Katzen Beobachtung, Alarmsirene bei Notsituation per App auslösbar, gutes Mikro und Sprechfunktion, Warnung via App und E-Mail bei niedrigem akkustand ... Investition mit ein paar hundert Euro für nun 4 Kameras vollkommen ok und lohnenswert - klare Kaufempfehlung

A mio parere è un'ottima telecamera. Visione diurna e nottura molto definita, batteria di lunga durata, audio (in e out) buono, wireless ottimo. Capisco il prezzo anche se lo ritengo un pochino eccessivo. Se costasse un pò meno ne prenderei certamente altre.

I like its audio feature and price-wise is attractive. Rechargeable battery is also one of the useful features.

Bisher sind zwei "alte" Arlo HD mit Basisstation im Gebrauch. Das System wurde jetzt mit einer Arlo Pro2 ergänzt. Absolut kompatibel zur vorhandenen Hardware, innerhalb von nicht mal 5 Minuten installiert. Vorhandene Basis hat die neue Kamera sofort erkannt und in der App bereit gestellt. Allerdings kann die "alte" Basis nicht alle Funktionen der neuen Pro2 (z.B. Alarm). Was ich jedoch nicht benötige und daher für mich nicht wichtig ist. Einstellungsmöglichkeiten der Kamera sind super. Eine echte Verbesserung zur Arlo HD. Ton und Bild funktionieren einwandfrei. Die Möglichkeit zum Netzbetrieb war der ausschlaggebende Punkt eine Arlo Pro2 zu nutzen. Kann ich nur weiter empfehlen.
