Maybe it worked? Maybe he ate what he wanted?
I have been gardening for years now and love it. I have battled bunnies, squirrels and birds. I had managed to outsmart them all...... this year, my garden was looking the best it had ever looked. My veggie plants were huge and beautiful. I was going to have more peas then we could eat.... was..One morning on walking into my yard I noticed my pea plants looked off, leaning over and not quite as happy as they were when I left them the day before. I did a quick watering on my way out to work and left. When I got home from work, I had NO pea plants standing at all- they were crushed, my cukecumbers had NO leaves, my broccoli plants were GONE down to stems, dill, pepper plants, parsley, Gerber daisy and even the prickly zucchini leaves were all attacked, either eaten to stems poking out of the dirt or just trailing stems..... SO VERY UPSET. Fast forward to my husband returning home and he informs me that on his way out to work he needed to "scare away" a "giant gopher or ground hog". Since we had never seen this even near our yard before he could not be sure what it was. He was even nice enough to snap a pic of the big boy using my bunny deterring fencing as a ladder to get to those hard to reach spots on top of the trellises that cukes were growing on... how nice. So the fencing provided a nice ladder. How good of me.Once again amazon was consulted. I bought a pack of these and they arrived the next morning. In the ground they went. I did not find any of the holes in my yard so I suspect they li e elsewhere and just visited mine. I placed one near the a spot at our fence that looked like it was a highway underpass for critters, one near my garden beds and one in another corner of my yard where 3 different properties fences all meet and is not quite tight. They send little vibrations in the ground. If you are standing right on them you can feel it. It is not super strong but it is notable. Mine seemed to stop working by day 3 but I did not follow the directions and "charge" them in the sun for 2 days first... I did not have time to spare! I shut them off for about 1 1/2 days and let them recharge and put them back on. No issues since. The screw base makes them fairly easy to get I to the dirt/ lawn. They look like a solar light really... a bit oddly placed but not ugly or attention grabbing.I have noticed we had 2 families of big fuzzy bees living in 2 holes in my yard (they made?)- we were letting them alone and live their best lives being pollinators and all- but they do not seem to be around since these have been in use.Since placing these I have seen no evidence of the fat ground hog/ gopher that destroyed my garden this year, no bunnies either and even the squirrels are sticking to the fallen bird seed and staying out of my gardens. Is it the product? Did he eat his fill and just didn't come back? Did someone else in my neighborhood take him out?I cannot say for sure but I will keep using these deterrent devices every year going forward... they just may have worked!!!

They help but don't solve the problem
The squirrels have been wreaking havoc on my garden this year. Every morning I would come outside to find my garden boxes destroyed and more of my veggies uprooted and lying on the ground. They were pulling the dirt out of my boxes and sprawling it all over my mulch and my patio. I tried repellent and putting Stakes all around. I also tried to scare them away with a scarecrow. Nothing was working. These have helped reduce the digging considerably but it hasn't stopped them. One day they yanked them out of the ground! I know they hate them but not enough to stop digging. Grrr.

Work very well, easy to screw into ground, great value
If you haven’t used these before let me tell you they work well for us. We have had a mole problem in two different homes here in NC and I used these vibration stakes at both and they get rid of them. I also stopped seeing snakes at the one house where we had seen them.-WORKS FOR MOLES - In one house we had Voles, for them we used grub killer but that does not work for moles. These do. Expect a little bit of increased activity right after you screw them into the ground. Then they go away, probably into a neighbors yard, sorry neighbor.- HOW DO YOU KNOW IF YOU NEED THEM? - You can tell you have moles when you start to see little piles of upturned earth in your yard and some parts are a little soft and squishy. In some cases you can even trace their entire tunnel system just following these mounds and soft ground. It depends on how many you have. From what I have read these are not solitary creatures, if you have signs of one you have more. In our newest home, 1.5 acres, they were all over the front, the back, the garden beds, everything except the driveway!- DISTANCE BETWEEN STAKES? - Their guidelines for distance between stakes seems pretty accurate from what I have seen. If you put a stake in a garden bed, where the ground is naturally softer, the vibration won’t carry as far as harder ground.- DOES IT AFFECT OTHER ANIMALS? - We have a very active outdoor animal community here , my wife feeds them all. We have found these types of stakes do not bother; dogs, cats, squirrels, rabbits, birds or chipmunks. I don’t know about deer. You can hear the sound sometimes when you are out in the yard. You get used to it.- SCREW IN OR ROUND STAKES? - I have tried both round and these screw-in stakes and they are both effective. While the screw-in ones are a little more expensive, it is worth not having to do the work of digging holes for them like you need to with the round ones, especially if your soil is very hard packed like clay for instance. Considering how long they last the cost difference is pretty minimal.- HOW DEEP DO THEY GET PUT IN? - Another great question, thank you. Follow the guidelines on the box for depth. What I have done is screw them in until the squarish top (where the electronics are housed I assume), rests on the ground. When you do your first one it will make sense. You can’t really screw them in any more at that point anyway.- WILL I HIT THEM WITH MY MOWER? - Wow, another great question. You guys came prepared. Here in Nc I generally cut my grass at about a level 3, bumping it a little higher in the summertime. That’s about 3-3.5 inches on my zero-turn EGO mower (fantastic by the way, highly recommend). My mower goes right over them, no problem. Of course if I hit them with one of my tires, smash! They do break. What I did to minimize this possibility, which I learned the hard way, was to lay out my stakes in a grid pattern wherever possible. That way they were in straight lines whether I cut diagonally, horizontally or at an angle. I remember not understanding why my dad used to make sure that’s how we cut the grass when we were young and in forced yard labor 😉 If they are in a straight line then it is easier to keep track of them. I also dropped a small dap of white spray paint just in front of them so I would see them more easily. I know, takes a little extra time. A little. Better than having to replace broken ones let me tell you.Hope these tips help you and they work as well for you as they do us.

Didn't work
I still had moles within 10 feet of a device. Maybe it died but that means the solar couldn't keep up

2 out of four never worked!!!
Test them asap!!! I didn’t put these out right away, and there’s only a 30 day return! Placed all four in the same spot to fully charge and no matter what I did, I can only get 2 out of four to work! Faulty product!!!
