Couldn't replace the battery on my JBL speaker since battery swelled. Modified connection and placed battery outside. Perfect

A quick check on Youtube showed several videos that were made on how to change the battery in the JBL Flip 4. While they didn't show that as these batteries age they tend to swell and get stuck into the slot designated for them, the rest of the instructions make this a pretty easy repair. The new battery was a perfect replacement. The speaker can now function on battery power for more than the 20 minutes I was getting before. In fact, it appears to be as good as new. As I mentioned the old battery had swelled a bit expanding the slot which made the new battery slide in a bit too easy. I was concerned about it vibrating in the speaker so I added a couple of pieces of foam tape to expand the thickness enough to make a snug fit. I could not be happier with this upgrade and know I am going to get some more years of service from this very nice speaker.

Flip 4 works like new since the battery was replaced.

I use it to replace the one of My JBL flip,that doesnt charge no longerI think it's going to last a couple of years more
