Patient no more!
I didn't realise how patient I was until I purchased this beast. I'd been putting up with semi-sharp (blunt) chisels for years. Now my chisels are razor sharp, all the time, and I don't need to treat them with kid gloves, as, if they get chipped I just resharpen them.I've even offered to sharpen friends chisels and plane blades, it's that good!

excellent fine sharpener
simple to use, high quality fine stone easily gives a stunning edge to chisels, using the included jig. Carving tools always more difficult, but perhaps buy the jig for that too. Water reservoir is easily removed for emptying/cleaning.

Dissapointed with the quality
Paid too much for what I received, the stone is came cracked but it looks like the manufacturer tried to fix it before it got sent to me, Now when I use it the part where they "fixed" it keeps jumping making it really hard to work with. Overall dissapointed with the quality and would not reccomend this product.

a Waste of your time and money.
The Scheppach Tiger 2500 wet stone sharpener.I had read many positive reviews (also a few negative) on this whetstone sharpener that I went ahead and bought one.But nobody in the reviews mentioned that the thread on the shaft that holds and drives the heavy stone had the wrong thread on it (a right hand thread), so that when I switched the motor on, the torque loosened the nut and stone, I tightened the nut again, but tighter, and it came loose again after about five starts, then I put locktite thread lock on the thread, it lasted about maybe ten to fifteen starts. Also since I had such trouble with it, I naturally had a closer look at the machine, it is a terrible construction, for bearings, it has bushes that are just pressed metal, I assume brass, but poorly pressed, (think of a metal eyelet in a belt, like that only bigger). It is not German engineering, it is cheap Chinese tat.I returned it for a refund, I then bought a Triton, which is a great machine, and a left hand thread that naturally tightens when run, and ball race bearings on the shaft.Obviously I would now recommend the Triton any day over the Scheppach

Poor quality
This is sold as a German product. Someone needs to tell me which German factory it came out of, because it's has all the hallmarks of cheap Chinese factory. I can't find any German DNA at all.It does have nice paintwork though.Faults.1. The tool sharpening guide relies on two cheap plastic grommets to operate mine came with only one.(See photo)2. The wheels did not turn when the motor was running - there is a spring damper on the side of the case which was stopping the motor engaging, once freed off it was fine.3. The tool guide holder is out of true with the grinding wheel, this means tools are not ground 'square' and the wheel will wear more on one side than the other. (See photo).4. It's fitted with a European plug and there is an adapter supplied. I expect power tools for the UK market to have UK plugs.5. The plain bearings on the driveshaft are poverty stricken. How long they will last is any ones guess - not long in a commercial shop is mine.6. The Instruction guide is poor (There is no mention of how to adjust the motor damper as an example and the parts breakout diagram is incomplete).7. It's cheaper from Screwfix undiscounted than Amazon with discount - my lack of due diligence to spot that scam).8. The grinding wheel needs truing.Curiously, the package had been shipped at some point by an Italian courier. There is no knife sharpening guide included, these are £41 extra.I am not sending it back but will modify it and bring it up to a usable standard. It will be less hassle.Machine Mart would have been a better alternative source for their own brand machine and cheaper, just with a better manual and higher quality control.

Adapter not clamping straight
The machine is good, but the adapter holding the chisel does not clamp it straight, which means the chisel bevel is not straight. Expected the adapter to clamp it 90deg
