Make sure it fits
I tried this with a 12th gen i7 and the stock rm1 cooler, looks like they are not compatible as it needs extra pressure to push the pins and it damages the board. If u want to use this then get a good aftermarket air-cooler.

Sturdy Support for AM5 CPUs
I recently upgraded my CPU to an AM5 socket, and like many enthusiasts, I was concerned about potential bending and stress on the motherboard due to the heavier cooling solutions commonly used today. Enter the Thermalright ASF-Black AM5 CPU Holder – a corrective anti-bending fixing frame that promises to alleviate these worries.Upon receiving the ASF-Black, I was impressed by its robust construction. The metal frame feels substantial and well-built, instilling confidence that it can handle the weight of even the largest CPU coolers. Installation was a breeze, thanks to clear instructions and a design that perfectly aligns with the AM5 socket.Once installed, the ASF-Black effectively reinforced the motherboard around the CPU socket. I could immediately sense a reduction in flex when mounting my cooler, easing my concerns about potential damage over time. Additionally, the black finish adds a sleek touch to my build, blending seamlessly with the rest of my components. In terms of performance, I've noticed no adverse effects on CPU temperatures or system stability. If anything, the added support provided by the ASF-Black may even contribute to better thermal conductivity by ensuring a secure connection between the CPU and cooler.Overall, I highly recommend the Thermalright ASF-Black AM5 CPU Holder to anyone using an AM5 socket. It offers peace of mind knowing that your valuable components are protected from the stresses of heavy cooling solutions. Well worth the investment for the long-term health of your system.

Does its job well if you can follow instructions
I7-14700kf with 240mm AIO, XTU reports 279W power draw after small undervolt. Before: 95c after 1 second Cinebench R23After: 86c after 4 minutes Cinebench R23Clearly the AIO is not up the the task but it's still a significant improvement.

Stabilize that big cooler and protect your CPU
I noticed a video on this after researching a replacement cooler for my CPU, also a Thermalright product, the Peerless Assassin. After installing that, I saw videos praising this for getting rid of any CPU bending or other issues from the heavy coolers mounted over the stock CPU retainer. It's an easy install to replace, and comes with the necessary tool, screws and standoffs to mount it, and replacement paste for the CPU. It's the best few bucks you could spend. Just a quick jiggle of the cooler before and after mounting showed me how much more stable it is. That means no CPU bending damage, and better flat surface contact for the cooler to the CPU. That means cooler running and longer life.A 5 star product in build quality, value and ease of installation.
