Wonderful Colour, long lasting.
Light Mountain Henna - Colour : RedI have used this product for 3 years. I normally use 1/2 a packet for my medium length hair. It is easy to prepare - boil some water in a plastic jug in my microwave, (leave for 2-3 minutes to cool a bit) weigh out half the packet of henna powder into a small plastic bowl and add the water slowly, stiring with a plastic spoon to mix it thoroughly - fairly smooth and the consistancy of thick , slightly gritty yoghurt. It will thicken a bit as it cools, but I always make enough boiled water to add a liitle bit later if it thickens too much.I apply it to my hair myself - using a brush designed for applying colour to hair (plenty available on the internet). I devide the hair in sections and apply to the roots, and up the hair shaft a bit. Takes about 10 mins . Then I apply more henna to the rest of my hair and massage it through (like applying shampoo), plaster my hair away from the hairline and put the plastic bag onto my head, from back to front, twisting at front and securing with a clothes peg at the top of my forehead. I wear the plastic gloves and an old t-shirt during the application.I then carry on doing stuff in the garden, or around the house . After 3-4 hours I rinse it off (kneel by bath and use shower spray), then apply some conditioner, massage in, and re-rinse. I then towel dry my hair and leave it to dry. Before applying I always wash my hair first, (no conditioner). I apply the henna to damp hair. The resulting colour is superb - a vibrant deep copper red that softens slightly over a couple of days.My hair is very grey - very grey/white roots but this covers the grey/white completely.I only have to re-apply when the roots start to show again. This is much better than salon colour. It lasts much longer and is much cheaper. My hair looks shiny and in good health.

Beautiful colour
There is a smell at first, fades in two days ish. But the colour is beautiful. Even on my dark brown roots it gave them an Auburn tinge. The blonde bleached part is very red indeed. Genuinely impressed.

It’s henna! Messy and time consuming of course! But beautiful colour!
The colour is bonkers! Really intense. But it changes depending on the light. It’s sometimes coppery. Sometimes super fiery. Sometimes has a sort of burgundy look.I have medium brown hair with quite a few grays. I mixed the henna with cold apple juice (for slight acidity) and distilled water and left it to cure for a few hours (packet said I didn’t need to but I did coz the internet hangs on about it), I heated it over a pan of boiling water for a few mins before applying.Left it on my head for just over two hours. Rinsed with warm water and then with conditioner. Took nearly half an hour of rinsing and water still wasn’t clear. So I gave up and blow dried it. No bleeding of colour when dry.

One of my favourite hennas. Obviously it’s messy snd time consuming, but the colour result is amazing.

So pleased thank you!
Brilliant! As someone who is a ginger and has never dyed their hair before I would recommend this to anyone who wants to brighten up their locks without any nasty chemicals my hair has certainly become brighter and I have received so many compliments already. The smell is a little unsettling as it is earthy/ horsedungy smell when preparing/ applying however after rinsing it out it does down and again if you wash it the next day or so. Totally worth it for the result though.Would also recommend using old carrier bags or newspaper to cover the floor where you're applying it as it can be quite messy but again worth it for the end result. I left mine to sit for 4hrs to prepare and another 4 once applied and end result went from dark Auburn to a Auburn with a red/ orange tinge which looks amazing in the sunlight.

You will not regret :) best henna in the world
ok let me tell you that i have done A LOT of research about henna. I wanted ginger, but natural hair colour . Not sure if someone tried L'oreal Paprika hair dye, but this hair dye can give you very hmm carroty hair colour. Deon get me wrong-i like it but this colour is not natural at all.. And after I have found henna!First, follow all steps. They have simple instruction.Ask someone to help you,cuz by yourself its quite hard and messy :) You need half of day to do this. Prep, curing time etc. and cleaning after :PColour is fabulous ! first few days is ginger( i bleached my hair before) but after your hair will get a bit darker and will look more natural. I have some many complements (blushing :D ) !Overall LOVE IT

I love this Henna!
I started using Henna 10 years ago because I have natural Auburn hair. I wanted to use a product that would cover my grey without changing the color of the rest of my hair. I didn't have much grey then, and if I used dye, whatever it touched would change. Red hair is challenging to get back if messed up. Henna allows using it on select pieces of hair without worrying about damage or changing the rest of your hair color. Also, henna doesn't lighten your hair. That is important to know. If you are going to use it on a dark hair color, and trying to go light it won't work. It doesn't lift your current color only enhances it. Or in my case blend my grey in with the rest of my hair. If you haven't used it before, be prepared. It is difficult to use at first until you get a routine going, but stick with it, henna is worth the hassle. There are many youtube channels dedicated to the application of it, look that up until you can figure out your own way. I buy hair dye brush applicators to help. It's natural, not chemical-based. You must be careful and read the ingredients to make sure no salts or other additives are included. That is one reason I love the Light Mountain brand, it's natural. My hair is soft and my curls are bouncy afterward, it doesn't strip my hair like other brands. I used to only use the fox box which is red. Sadly, my hair has gone more white in recent years as I am 50, so now I have blended the red with spicy cinnamon. If I don't blend, my hair comes out very electric on the white pieces because those white pieces grab color so well. I also add actual cinnamon to my mix. Light Mountain has a range of colors from light to dark, so much to choose from. Do not use it on hair that is continuously swimming in chlorine! It will turn green. I use a swim cap, I don't care how ridiculous it looks, it's worth not ruining my hair. I will use henna every 4 weeks as it fades away gradually. One box from this company will cover my scalp and my greys and white (shoulder-length) hair twice. I mix it up and what I don't use, I put in the freezer for the next application or if I feel I missed some.Love, Love, Love this company's product.

WOW! Easy to use and gorgeous!
I have curly red hair that has been fading over the years. There was a bit of a weird colour forming around my temples and the roots on top. Definitely grey, but also other colours. It wasn't pretty. So I read all of the reviews, took a leap of faith, and used this henna for the first time. It was effortless to apply! There was virtually no curing time. It wasn't messy at all. At least not as I expected. The coverage is incredible and I just slapped it on with my fingers. No brush or sectioning or anything. I left mine just under 2 hours and I love it. It is so shiny and soft, but most of all, the coverage is perfection. I am sold. BTW, I have hair down to my bra strap and I wish I'd have used half of the package instead of the whole thing. Next time, I will know. It goes pretty far.
