Passed the ultimate seed strainer test!
The media could not be loaded. Who doesn't love homemade Raspberry jam! But the burden of removing all of those seeds makes the process daunting. I can think of more important things to do with my time. But every year my hedge produces abundantly and my family begs for jam. The wire mesh basket was the only method I had to strain seeds as my food mill had too large of holes to keep the seeds from falling through. This Gvode fruit and vegetable strainer worked perfectly with little effort! Here is what works:PROS: 1. I found that 10 cups of whole raspberries was all the basket could process in one go before the strainer became full of seeds and needed to be washed out before processing the next batch. 2. The clean up between batches was as easy as UNPLUGGING your machine FIRST, (sorry, my bad) unscrewing the retention collar, lifting out the basket and running it under the faucet. Just a water stream and a little rubbing took all the seeds off. Carefully remove just the extension to the worm drive but LEAVE IN the drive shaft that the extention connects to so no juice or seeds get inside your motor housing. There is an O-ring in that drive shaft that seals fluids from leaking into the machine during operation. Scoop out the seeds (UNPLUG your machine before sticking your fingers in the housing!) Scoop out the seeds inside the housing, replace the worm drive extension, replace the strainer cone and re-tighten with the collar and you're good to go for the next batch. (FYI for those who want to know, it takes 20 cups of whole berries to produce 10 cups of juice)3. Final clean up is as simple as unplugging the machine; unscrewing the whole assembled attachment from the stand mixer and taking the set up to the sink for disassembly and washing. There is a cleaning brush that comes with the kit for cleaning the basket if you need it. NOTE: Insert the cleaning brush while continually TURNING the brush clockwise & continue to turn the brush clockwise as you back it out of the strainer basket or the bristles will get stuck in the holes and not come out. At all. Until you twist and back it out as described. Hence, FLEXIBLE bristle brush. Any baby bottle (flexible soft bristle brush) will work if wear out the original brush.CONS: 1. The last photo shows the only improvement they can make. The feeder tray on top only clips into the feeder shaft with no seal around the shaft to block fluids from leaking up the junction where they overlap. They mention that in the instructions, that if you are straining juicy foods (like tomatoes) you have to let the juices drain down below the rim before continuing or it will leak. Why they don't just add a fix to it I don't know. The work around was as simple as using the bowl to my stand mixer as my collection bowl to begin with, which is wide enough to catch any juice leaking down from under the tray.2. There is no specific instruction on what that little round ring device is with the "wing" tabs in the kit. I finally decided that it must be a support for the sausage stuffer cone. After you grind your meat unplug it & carefully remove just the gringing blade and extruder plate; you are through using them. To use the sausage stuffer, place that support ring over the worm drive fitting the "wings" into the same slots the plate had rested in. Add the cone over it making sure the tabs stay in the slots & tighten the retention collar. You can now feed the seasoned sausage back through the attachment and fill your casings.3. There is no specific illustration on how to use the pusher device as a wrench to unscrew the retention collar if you accidentally screwed it on too tight. The "groves" on the collar ring are very rounded so the edges of the pusher do no fit in those depressions at all for giving you any traction or leverage to unscrew the ring. My Kitchenaid Brand grinder actually comes with a wrench for this purpose but that wrench is too small to be used interchangeably for this brand. Whats up Gvode? Overall, the leaky issue is a non-issue. I would not give up using it as all of the positives well outnumbered this one annoyance.

Using for tomatoes
We've been using this all season to process tomatoes from our garden. So far it's worked great. Easy to put together and use if you follow the directions. Love that most pieces are dishwasher safe.

Works well
Works well, but if you are running tomatoes keep your left over separate….. it needs to be ran 2 or 3 times to make sure you extract all the meat from the tomato out. (The first run you will get mainly juice)

Works great, easy to clean, good quality
it has transformed the way I process fruits for my homemade jams! I primarily use it for persimmons and berries, and the results have been fantastic. The attachment is incredibly easy to install and fits perfectly on my stand mixer. It grinds fruits quickly and efficiently, saving me so much time compared to using a manual grinder. The consistency of the puree is perfect for jam-making, ensuring that I get that smooth texture I love. What I appreciate most is how easy it is to clean. The parts come apart easily, and everything is dishwasher-safe, which makes the post-cooking cleanup a breeze.I've also noticed that it handles even the softest berries without any issues, yielding maximum output without waste. If you enjoy making jams, this attachment is a must-have for your kitchen. It’s a great investment that will elevate your fruit processing game. Highly recommend!

Fantastic Product! Worth the price!
I lost the blade for my hand crank food mill so I took a chance on this item. I’m so glad I did! It was so easy to use, clean, and switch between functions. I feel like I entered the 21st century. I highly recommend this product and would buy again.

Broke first try
I used the strainer attachment to juice some blackberries. Some things to note: juice dribbled out of the side of the chute where the tray attaches, making a mess. When I went to clean the attachment after use, the plastic part at the end of the strainer broke off. It is now useless, but I don’t think I’d want to use it again anyway because of how messy it was

Fruit strainer can’t even handle grapes!
I bought this to use for grapes for making pyment. I like to use the grape skins later in fermentation to add color. I used an old fruit grinder years ago that looked similar so thought this would be good. Nope! The screw would back up with the grape skins and you had to dismantle the entire apparatus and clean out the screw and try again. We aren’t talking raisins here, just fresh grapes! I doubt this thing could handle anything beyond orange juice pulp, and maybe not even that! Don’t think about anything more solid. I did not try the meat binder, so can’t comment on that. I returned it.

Glad I bought this
Cut down my prep time by 2.5 hrs and no standing over sink separating seeds from the rest of the tomato. Saves on your back. Well worth it.

Exceeded my expectations
The meat grinder and vegetable strainer works great. It fit perfect in my kitchen aid and worked extremely well. I canned 1 bushel of San Martz tomatoes and I was able to fill 19 - 1 litre jars. I pressed the tomatoes twice with ease. No need to blanch the tomatoes I just cut them in quarters after thoroughly washing the tomatoes. Every 1 litre or so, I did remove the plastic cover, and cleaned the strainer with a spoon, only from the outside quickly, and placed the plastic shield back, this only took a minute. No seeds or skins in sauce. Plastic parts seem to be very sturdy and strong. Overall very happy of my purchase and probably can be used with other vegetables or fruits.
