This is just perfect for the 11 year old next door who has decided to become a poker champion and hang around Las Vegas --- just as soon as I teach him how to actually play poker.Inside the quite nice storage box is a deck of cards, a good supply of chips, a dealer chip, and a little 27 page guide explaining how to play Texas Hold 'Em Poker. The witty guide is written in easy to understand language and contains sentences like this one: "We can't guarantee that you will be good -- but you probably won't embarrass yourself. Probably." We both liked that sentiment!!!The chips are nice and heavy and the dealer chip is a fun touch. The cards have big letters that are easy to read even with both of us wearing dark sunglasses indoors so our eyes are hidden and we don't give anything away as we play. I will have to let this budding poker professional know that the sunglasses can't hide his big grin when he thinks he has a winning hand........someday.Nice kit, packed well. I'm hoping it helps me get invited to Vegas when he #1) grows up and #2) wins!

Everyone but me seems to know how to play poker, so I figured this set would be handy for learning. The guide is written in a way that is easy to understand while also being fun to read. For a beginner, it seems like a great kit with everything you need when just starting out. The cards are aesthetically pleasing and make it clear what they are - for example, the queen has a nice giant Q in the middle. It's really nicely made for a basic kit, I'm impressed!

This is a pretty basic poker set.The cards have a pretty nice vintage 70s look to them.The chips are pretty basic.The guide book is written pretty well.The dealer button has a bit of a printing defect though.At the current price I think it's a bit overpriced though.

This is such a great beginner’s poker-playing set. Neither my husband nor I are too well versed at the game, but we got it for family game nights. It comes with chips, cards, and a little poker guide that’ll teach you all the basics of the game. I especially appreciate that the guide is very clear and uses all the jargon in an easily understood fashion. This is a comprehensive set that’s got everything you’ll need and would make a fun gift.

This is a good gift for someone who needs a starter poker set. It has chips, cards, and an instruction book. The pieces inside are a good quality and the deck seems good too.

This is a very nicely designed poker game set! My husband and I thought that it would be fun to learn how to play. The cards in this set are unique and I really like the design and attention given to them, though I have to say I was disappointed on the quality of the cards themselves. They feel like laminated cardboard, not nice playing cards. Other than that this is a wonderful set.

My dad had a set similar to this back in the 1960s, this is nearly identical! The chips are thin, as was the style at the time. The cards are good quality, and the box is nice. Overall, pleased with what I received!
