A Great Quick read about being prepared.
I like "What to Do When the Power Fails: Storey's County Wisdom Bulletin A-191" as it reminds me of pamphlets you could pick up for free or with a purchase years before many readers reading this review were born at the local hardware store. I bought it on the recommendation of a friends. Although geared to the northern climates where it is much colder much of the ideas presented could be adopted here in Southern California. I especially like the section about rewiring your electric in your home to allow for a backup generator to supply power in the event of a total blackout due to downed power lines or loss of the grid in today's world. Lastly I thought that the book /pamphlet is reasonably priced for today.Yes I'd buy this again and recommend to a friend.

Useful information for power loss in cold country
Basic and useful information on your house and what to do for power loses. Information on food, household plumbing, freezing pipers, electrical systems and backup generators are addresses. Well organized, easy to read and understand. Worth the money and a review before you have a power outage. It is oriented toward the cold country, as it worries about freezing pipes etc, and not an overheated house with no air conditioning in Phoenix in the summertime.

GET INFORMED BE PREPARED, IF SINGLE one OR FAMILY with Necessities BEFORE Things Happened!!!
Very informative to the consumer and rule to follow in going through when the power is DOWN, Early this year we had some very horrible whether, the lines was Down in some areas for over a Month, figure that out when you think that we get back on power ina day or two and ends up to over a month you had to Go to other towns and if you had no gas, GOOD LUCK, OHOHOH, WE FORGOT THE HEAT AND FROZEN PIPES AND THEN SOME. When you have electricity and stores are up for business, life is normal, Don’t get caught with out the NECESSITIES,!!!

But it never snows where I live...
I guess I should have paid more attention to the picture showing all the snow, because it is all about what to do when the power goesoff in the winter and everything is frozen. Well, I live in Florida and the power goes off from time to time, but how to thaw out frozenpipes does not concern me. Other than that, it has some good ideas. A good book for women who don't have a man to take care ofthese things. If she is the least bit handy I think she could do most of the things mentioned here. It is info that younger people mightnot know.

Great product..
I found this item to be very informative for anyone who wishes to prepare before a storm. There are pages of information for individuals who are not familiar with being prepared as well as stocking up on the right supplies, especially how to acquire water from the water heater inside your home. I would recommend this to anyone who is interested in becoming prepared for a natural disaster; hurricane, tornado, or a power outage.

i like it
I'm giving this book five stars due to the fact that the book is concise and it focuses on the major issues that would affect anyone in a situation where they didn't have electricity. It even tells you how to defrost your pipes. I received my book quickly, no problem with the seller.

Interesting if a little out of date
The common sense information this guide provides is definitely useful.Resource information is however a little out of date.If you're likely to suffer power losses this could be a useful help.

ok but not more
Good tips which could fit on one page though or a basic check list.
