MCS Frame for Puzzles, Black, 20 x 30 in or smaller

The first thing I noticed is how heavy and sturdy the frame is. It isn't just cheap and flimsy. It arrived already put together. I was glad to see the box was to be opened on the end, rather than across the face of the frame, because I would've been afraid of scratching the plexiglass with a cutting tool. The frame has a sheet of plexiglass, a black/white heavy paper for use as a border if the puzzle is under the full frame size.I was excited to get my puzzle framed and on the wall, but when I removed the outer plastic that it was sealed in, I was disappointed to find that a line I had seen was actually a big deep scratch in the plexiglass. It looks like it was the top sheet in a box and someone ran a cutter along the box scoring the top sheet. It's very visible even with the colors of the puzzle to mask it.My next disappointment was when the grand moment came to lay my puzzle in the frame. It didn't fit. The item description says, "MCS Frame for Puzzles, Black, 24 x 30 in or smaller." The box of my puzzle (White Mountain, so it is good quality) says it's 24 x 30. I should have just bought a frame from them. Theirs is more expensive, but they sell theirs for their puzzles, so I assume it would fit, or they'd not have such a good name in the puzzle industry.I do quite a few puzzles, and could make use of this frame for another, if only the plastic wasn't scratched. Such a disappointment, but such is the nature of online shopping.UPDATE: I did end up putting a smaller puzzle in this frame, even using the scratched plexiglass sheet. I just didn't want to go to all the trouble of shipping it back, and that seemed to be the only option with this company. If only they would just replace the scratched plexiglass with a new sheet, I'd be completely satisfied.

Clear styrene front had scratches in the corner. You could only see it from one angle but I didn't care for that.

The frame looks nice and my puzzle looks great in it. My one complaint: the backing that serves as background for the puzzle was partially glued to the plexiglass so the paper tore when I removed it from the frame to put my puzzle in the frame and the torn paper is visible at the top of the frame. Tip: I glued the back of my puzzle to the background to prevent slippage, which worked.

Worked perfect for odd size poster I had.

Nice inexpensive mounting for a completed puzzle (used puzzle glue before mounting).

For the price, I think it is pretty good. The corners on one side are a little more gapped than I'd like, so trying to remedy that. The back cardboard piece that has the hanging pieces on it, was a little to big for the hole so it was really difficult getting it put back on. By the time I was done struggling with it, my puzzle moved and I had to start all over. Overall I think it looks really nice, I'll probably trim down the sides on the back a little so I don't struggle everytime. I got the natural color and it looks really nice!

Had a puzzle that was odd size and realized that’s how puzzle are 14.25” and 19.25” . After several attempts to find perfect size frame and failing, found this finally. True to size, arrived in a day well packed, fit the puzzle perfectly well. No gap at all. The black or white background sheet plus additional 1.5mm thick cardboard backing and finally the 2.5mm thick particle board give great support. Turned out well. After 2 years my puzzle found its frame !!

I used it for the 500 pieces puzzled finished and it looks great.

I dislike everything about this product. It’s a cheap product that isn’t even worth the 50 dollars I paid for. The plastic sheet came scratched! This doesn’t fit a 27inch x 20 inch puzzle which it claims it will fit. I have a ravens burger puzzle from the Disney collection (1000 pieces) that I was excited to frame. I would have to remove one row from the side to fit it. I feel as if I was conned, as I trusted the amazon choice sticker that’s on the ad. It’s possibly the worst item I’ve purchased from amazon. Horrible decision, and I’ll never buy from this seller again!

Only good thing about this order was the quick delivery. We were excited to put the puzzle in to hang it today, but saw the scratches as soon as we peeled off one side of the plastic packaging. There were scratches on the frame, but also the styrene front as well. The front cover looked like it was cleaned and buffed, as we see some cleaning marks (as if a wet rag was used to mask the fact that it was probably previously owned). The frame was also more glossy than mat (as per advertised) if that's what you're looking for. Didn't bother us as much but thought to mention it anyway.On top of all that, it wasn't a perfect fit for our 1000 piece Buffalo puzzle. The puzzle itself fit inside the frame, but when you look at the image, you can see that it cuts off almost 1cm on all four sides of the puzzle. You'd at least expect to showcase all your hours of hard work! Pretty disappointed about that.It's meh. We'll probably still use it, because returning it would be too much of a hassle considering the size of this thing. Could probably find a much better frame that complements your 1000 piece puzzle. For the price, this frame wasn't up to par. I expected a lot more.

Malheureusement, mon pire achat à vie: pour une soixantaine de $$$, le cadre est de très mauvaise qualité. Il m'est arrivé avec un coin cassé et sans broche sur ce même coin, rien d'étonnant puisqu'il vient dans une boîte de carton sans AUCUNE protection à l'intérieur, même pas de protection pour les coins. Je l'ai rafistolé avec de la colle et des broches, pas question de payer pour le retour! J'ai donné une étoile pour la dimension qui est exact.

Shortly after placing my picture inside, I noticed that the frame had loose corners and some visible spacing where each piece/side came together (large enough to see through to the back). I also had to be delicate with it because the sides were a bit wobbly due to the loose corner joints.I think it's a decent frame, and from far away, I can't notice the small gaps at all. But overall, I think it's too pricey for the quality of the frame and sturdiness of it.

I can’t believe I spent $65 (incl. taxes) to frame a $20 puzzle. The price is ridiculous but the options are limited. Nonetheless, cost notwithstanding, the frame is nice, sturdy and well-assembled, as I would expect from something coming from USA (which might explain the gouging). The plexiglass is surprisingly clear. The frame showcases the puzzle. The reversible black/white mat is a bonus. At half the price it would have been good value.
