Just received and tried with carrots straight away! Seconds, and my carrot is shredded! I was refusing to make shredded salads which I love extremely due to me hating grating the veggies via conventional grater. This small handy shredder is a gem for salad lovers like me. Also, it will speed up grating veggies for my beetroot borsch which I normally make a huge pot. It is so easy to assemble, so easy a quick to clean under running water, which adds value. So much money I wasted buying stuff which was not used due to not really making a significant difference to me in easing and speeding up cooking. I have got two types of grater plus conventional, and not using them as one of them rather work for if you need to prepare a bulk of salads, or another one is just protecting your fingers from being damaged, which is not good enough as has limited value. This small gadget does not require electricity which will be handy for those who say live in summer houses or caravans, but also reduce your dependency on electricity. It not not stick to table surface initially until I figured out that there is a locker to be moved to fix it! And it is such big plus that it has such a small size unlike other similar appliances which require quite a space. Thinking to buy this for my mother now!

Wow ! I can’t believe how easy it is to use , in a matter of minutes I grated the whole block of cheese with ease , I have arthritis in my hands and this is a god send . Very sturdy once the suction has been enabled , grates the cheese like a knife going through butter !! Great value for money , would definitely recommend to buy this A*****

I found it a bit fiddly to assemble at first, but it's easy really. Really adheres well to my work surface and grates perfectly. I tend to grate more than I need and put the rest in tupperware. The only slight downside is that it's a bit awkward to wash the container properly. But overall, a good quality and useful gadget. Worth the money.

Love this greater. Great suction to surface, easy to put together and take apart to wash. It greats a block of cheese in a couple of minutes without the strain on the wrists. Nice quality, well worth the money.

It really is a great addition to my kitchen - I'm used to manually grating cheese for Mac and Cheese, and when it comes to grating mozzarella this gets messy very quickly!With this gadget, its makes the whole process quicker, cleaner and less waste.I've also used it to shred potatoes for rosti and hash browns.

Would be a 5 star if the handle didn't pop off every 20 seconds.

There are no downside to this grater/slicer . As someone who has rheumatoid arthritis in my hands & found grating cheese so hard & always catching my thumb knuckle & taking chunks out of it this machine is wonderful the suction is 10/10 no slipping at all. The ease of putting it together and part is so easy & the actual grater is amazing and so quick even with xtra mature cheese grated lovely . Highly recommended this it’s a must have in any kitchen .

Je suis addict au fromage, j'en met dans quasiment tout mes repas du coup j'achète l'emmental en bloc pour faire des économies et cette machines me fait gagner beaucoup de temps comparé à une rappeuse à la main. Attention il faut une surface en verre ou une nappe en plastique fin pour que l'effet ventouse fonctionne. Sans la ventouse sur "on" vous risquerez de bien galérer.

The grater did not come with instructions. I didn’t know how to get the suction at the base to work so I gave it 3 stars.I went back online to see the details of the grater and found how to activate the suction.This grater is compact, easy to assemble and disassemble for washing. No batteries nor electricity needed. Although it is a manual crank, it is easy to use and not as tiring as using a box grater.

The handle appears to be the weak point of this product. Would notbe surprised if it breaks.The packaging was severally damaged in shipping. Luckily all the plastic parts made it intact. Could definitely be better packaged for the lengthy shipment.

I love this product! Bought it for a taco night to make grating cheese easier. I also use it to shred carrots for carrot cake. It is extremely easy to put together and change out the grates.One con to this is there is a suction cup type of bottom to this item to make it easier to shred on countertops. It works if you hold the grater a certain way. But I have found it a tad difficult to keep the same position while grating so the suction pops off from time to time. A little annoying but overall definitely worth the price.

It needs to be longer or the base needs to be thinner cause it doesn't hit the bowl I'm using or a dish I put under it.
