Two Chrome Cover Cap for Towel Rail Radiator for blanking plug and bleeding valve

Duncurin has revealed on many occasions that I am hopeless at all things DIY. The name given to me by my long-suffering wife, the only one that I can reveal to you, is 'half a job'. Even Duncurin, however, can learn from others and tradesmen and craftsmen (and women) who we come across from time to time and the one thing that separates the great from the also ran is - finish.I kept looking at my new radiator. It seemed okay but just not quite right. It sits horizontally as you can see, and I guess the problem comes from the fact that it is also designed to stand vertically and my plumber had to knock a blanking plate from the inside of one of its pipes to make sure that its performance was not affected. You can see from the photos that the bleed valve and the blanking nut sit right on top of the radiator and are very visible. they are a nice chrome finish but it struck me that they still didn't look quite right.As always, the answer is to be found without ever looking for such a thing, because you don't know it exists, on the Amazon site and while looking for something else, it displayed these rather wonderful chromed caps. They're inexpensive to buy, easy (even for me!) to fit, arrive in a couple of days and to my mind look, look - well, finished! All in all these seem to me to make the whole thing much easier on the eye and as if they were really meant to be there rather than a by product of something that has been mounted horizontally that was designed to run vertically. Please see the sequence of photos, attached, of both ends of the radiator before and after. Simple but effective, as all the best things in life are.

I measured carefully before ordering and these were fitted in seconds making a nice finish to a recently installed radiator. I have not had to them so can’t comment on how well they will last. I don’t know why they don’t provide caps when you buy a radiator as they do improve the look.

If you’ve list the cap for a radiator/towel rail these are ideal as long as they are the required size. Arrived on time and are inexpensive

excellent as discribed, easy fit no hasle

Recently had a plumbing firm fit a towel radiator for me however these caps were missing from the bleed valve and nut. The firm told me that not all towel radiators come with these caps (outer diameter approx. 27mm) which I found hard to believe but it was not worth arguing about when I could buy these so cheaply and quickly.
