This is a complete start-to-finish design activity. Students follow the design process and see direct applications of science and technology as they design and build a mousetrap-powered vehicle and compete with classmates to design the fastest or farthest-traveling car. Each kit includes balsa wood, four CDs (for wheels), CD spacers, thrust washers, brass tubing, string, and building instructions. Requires ruler, hobby knife, wire cutter, and a drill or Dremel tool.
