Great book!
I'm learning so much about my own childhood trauma. I wasn't diagnosed ADHD until my late 50s. It just wasn't a thing when I was growing up to have your child diagnosed for anything that wasn't life threatening. Interesting to me was that all the things my mother didn't do for me, I instinctively did for my daughter. This book has been helpful on multiple levels. I'm learning how my ADHD affects my everyday life and how I can change a negative outcome by applying many of the principles in the book. If you have ADHD (any age) or your daughter does, you definitely should get this book!

Great Read !
As a parent of a daughter with ADHD, I was looking for ways to better understand her behavior and support her. This book did a great job of explaining how ADHD can affect girls differently than boys. If you're a parent of a girl with ADHD, I highly recommend this book. It's easy to read and full of valuable information.

Very useful- another good one
I've read other books by this author and he has some very useful teen help books on various mental health subjects. This was another good read. I didn't understand how children with ADHD might not understand personal boundaries as much, and I just thought it was a normal childhood thing. But that was helpful info.

Informative!
Great book for understanding the relationship between ADHD and the brain! We read parts of this book with our child, which gave her a good understanding on what she is feeling. Hopefully giving her tools to be successful for life!

A little lacking
The topic of how mental issues affects the genders differently is one that should be explored and I appreciate the direction in which this author was going. The information is easy to digest but it doesn't have enough source material or citations for my tastes.

Pair with boys book
This is a great book but it should really be one book. Many girls identify with the "boy" ADHD characteristics and vice versa. Read both to see where you or your child land. It's a good book for group discussion.

Great Guide to the Challenges of Inattentive ADHD
I do wish though that it gave some more guidance for Hyperactive ADHD in girls. I also would like to have seen more discussion of the unique strengths that can be found in ADHD.
