SauconyMen's, Triumph 20 Running Shoe

As close to perfect as any road shoe I have owned
As someone who considers himself a little bit of a shoe nerd, I can say that the Triumph 20 is as well-designed as any pair of shoes that have ever been on my feet. I wanted these to be my higher mileage shoes for slower, longer days, but after a few runs I can say that this shoe makes me keep running faster. I have never had to consciously slow myself down to keep a certain intensity as I have with these shoes. I think it has something to do with the heel to toe drop combined with the rocker shape and toe roll off that really propels me forward. The fit of the upper is perfectly snug. I am one of those runners who cannot stand having my heel slip up and down while I run. I won’t be able to stop thinking about it. BUT I also hate it when shoes are tight and restrictive around my toes. I wear a size 10, but truth be told I could probably be a size 10.5. My history wearing climbing shoes and boots makes me prefer a shoe that doesn’t have too much extra length. In these size 10’s, my toes are pretty close to the end of the shoe, but the toe area of the shoe is perfectly shaped and sized so the upper does not restrict my toes at all. PERFECT. Not too baggy so my feet stay where they are, but just the right amount of extra room so my toes are not touching the upper. The heel area and mid foot of the upper are snug and comfortable, while the toe area feels barely there. FINALLY a shoe company got it right. Let’s talk about the heel on this shoe. It’s bouncy. I’ve had other shoes with heels that are bouncy in a weird and hard-to-get-used-to way, and some shoes with a soft and squishy heel that does the opposite of the Triumph and makes me constantly have to speed up. This heel gets it just right. It gives you definite noticeable energy return after it squishes, but it doesn’t feel unstable. The heel isn’t one of the modern high stack shoes that gets super wide on the sole, which I like. The platform of these shoes seems like a slimmer profile compared to some of the newer generation of big midsole shoes, and I think this contributes to it feeling like a faster shoe. I love it. A few times in one of my night runs I accidentally stepped on some rocks and a stump, and for being a somewhat tall midsole, the shoe rode over the obstacles very gracefully. Some other taller shoes will definitely give me that immediate ankle roll in these situations (ahem, Hoka, ahem, sorry needed to clear my throat there). The look of the shoe is really cool. I have the Night Light color scheme and the pictures don’t do it justice. In the light the red is a fluorescent red and the Saucony symbol is reflective. It looks way cooler in person than in the pictures. These are my new favorite shoes. I was skeptical at first because of how good of a deal the 20’s were going for and also the 10mm heel-to-toe drop. I’d be lying if I said I don’t notice the drop, but the weird thing is I didn’t think I like it as much as I do. With the geometry of the shoe, the drop feels propulsive. I also feel like the cushion and feel of the forefoot is plenty cushioned as well. Get this shoe. I can’t imagine many people disliking it.

The best
6’2” 300 pound man. These are, without a doubt, the most comfortable gym shoes i have ever worn. Nothing rubs, toe area has plenty of room. Feels well made. I personally love this color way. The dream of Nike Air in the 90’s is truly realized in this shoe; it has bounce, it compels you forward, it helps me run a little faster - even for a fella my size. Please note: these are not made to be your everyday/all-day shoe if you spend a lot of time outside, especially on rough terrain. The foam here is pretty rawand exposed, including on the sole.

300 Miles and Triumphant: The Saucony Triumph 20 Keeps Crushing It!
300 miles and two marathons later, the Saucony Triumph 20 remains a champion! This shoe delivers incredible comfort with its plush PWRRUN+ cushioning, which feels amazing even after countless miles. Surprisingly responsive for a comfort-focused shoe, the Triumph 20 keeps you rolling with a smooth, efficient ride. Highly durable too, the outsole shows minimal wear, making it a fantastic choice for long-distance runners who prioritize comfort and long-lasting performance.

Good combo with Endorphin Speed
These are my ideal easy/recovery day shoe for winter. They’re surprisingly light. Plenty of energy return for a highly cushioned ride. I just did my first tempo run with no major complaints besides them feeling a bit sluggish and clunky compared to Speed 3. The runshield upper keeps my feet warm enough to use regular running socks below 20F. I wouldn’t expect absolute waterproofing through rain and slush, but there’s enough to fend off the splashes of water here and there. There’s just a bit more room in these, which is nice if you’d like a thicker sock. The outsole seems fine, but I can see where some may run into it peeling off. You’d almost have to be intentional about damaging the outsole tread. TBD how these hold up on light gravel trail through the winter. Excellent rotation with Endorphin Speed 3, which should allow me to keep both shoes well into next season.

Good long run shoe
I’ve had a few 4-6 mile runs in these and they seemed to feel great out of the box if and then they began to feel a little hard under foot. Could have been concrete vs asphalt. Took them out for another spin and they felt a bit better. So I think a small break-in period was needed to soften up the PWRPlus+ foam. Great quality just like I’ve come to expect from Saucony.

Always a winner
The Saucony Triumph series is the first shoe that I found that has been both durable and so comfortable for me. I’m a larger man at 6’2 and 240#. I was 310 when I first found these in my get fit journey. No break in needed and no sore joints afterwards.

You can't beat the cushiony feel - but over time - and not much time - it chips and falls apart.
OK. I did some research before I bought these. We were going on vacation and I needed a really good walking shoe. I would be on my feet for days on end and did a lot of googling to find a good brand at a price I liked. These seemed ok. And I liked the all-black color with no weird logo or words sticking out. When I first got these, I fell in love. SUPER cushion-y sole! Look great! Wore these walking all around Italy for 2 weeks and they held up nicely! But - in time - I've noticed some flaws.First, the sole. I like that black color. But - as it has gotten some scratches and some of the foam has chipped off - it's WHITE underneath! So now my nice black shoes are peppered with white all around them. It looks ghetto.Second, on the heel of the sole of the right shoe - one piece of the sole is peeling off! I've only had these for about 3 months and I'm kinda upset about that. I mean a hundred bucks is a lot for shoes - I've paid far less for less comfortable ones but they don't chip off white and have soles that peel off!My rating of 3 stars is fair. Sure they comfortable and look good, just don't expect them to last. Looks like I'm getting Hoka's now like all the other middle aged white people!

Calzado muy cómodo , suave , acojinado.
The media could not be loaded.
