Activa Class 2 Unisex Support Socks 18 - 24 mmHg Black Extra Large

High quality
After experiencing a DVT about eight years ago I was advised to use a compression sock and a local pharmacist supplied these. I’ve used Activa Class 2 ever since. They are easy for me to put on, help my leg feel comfortable and last a reasonable length of time. The only downside is they can take a while to air dry after being washed so I always have a few pairs on the go.

Lovely warm supportive socks
As somebody who has issues with anything nylon these socks are perfect for my needs.Originally supplied by my Leg Ulcer Clinic due to the bamboo content I find them very comfortable to wear.I have the Unisex XL size which is slightly too long on the foot but it gives my toes room to breathe and they come right up to the knee - too many times I get the size for a 6ft larger woman only to find that they don't come up to the knee and slip down over time and that my toes are jammed into the ends.Very quick delivery as well, ordered on a Wednesday for a Friday-Tuesday delivery but actually delivered on Thursday.

Did not receive what I thought I ordered
From the web sight I thought I was ordering the British Standard Unisex Socks. What was delivered was the British Standard Unisex Patterened Socks. Both of them Class II but the patterened sock is not as durible. Both do the job but the patterned sock doesn't last as long. Mildly disappointed.

activa class 2 black stockings/socks closed toe.
Doctor suggested the class 1 stockings, I was wearing, were too loose after examination of ulsers.I am now trying activa class 2 unisex stockings. For my legs I find the length too long (upper section) - but no great problem.I like the colour black, it is smart and professional when I am dressed.I WOULD RECOMMEND activa unisex class 2 stockings/socks TO ALL PATIENTS REQUIRING AID AND SUPPORT FORTHEIR TROUBLED LEGS.ed higgs

Swollen legs.
Bought these to try out as I usually use the thinner one's. Worked out ok. So very good on all fronts.

Excessive Price
Great for what they do but I'm worried about the constant increase in price. Every time I buy a pair the price has been increased and these are now several pounds more expensive than 2 years ago. The quicker a competitor comes onto the market the better. 21 pounds plus is excessive. Time to look further afield.Update from Nov 2018. Nice to see the price has fallen but I will never buy these again! 15 years of being ripped off by Activa and paying between 12 pounds and 22 pounds for one pair. At most they lasted a month a pair, sometimes even less. I have now found far nicer compression socks from another company. They are avaiable in a broader choice of colours and are far better quality and than Activa. They also last me 3-4 months of intense use. More to the point, they cost 4 pound a pair!!! Activa has had it moment as the sole provider of compression socks and it abused its customers. Game over!

Far too small in the foot.
Bought these socks and thought they would be the same as from the nurse but alas no. If anyone has calves within the sizes stated as just below the knee and round the ankle then it stands to reason they won't have feet the size of a ballet dancer, I couldn't even get them to the heel they were that tight. Because I tried to get one on I would surmise I can't return them so a complete waste of my hard-earned money. Don't bother buying them. Very disappointed in the manufacturer.
