TaiZiChangQinSHB7000 Ear Pads Cushion Replacement Compatible with Philips SHB 7000 SHB7150 SHB7250 Headphone ( Upgrade Earpads )

Perfect replacement for my old headphones. They also have better isolation than the originals.

At first I could work out how to replace these earpads on my Philips headphones. However after watching a YouTube Video on how to disassemble them and then reading the instructions posted by a reviewer here on replacing the muffs, the process is fairly easy if not a bit fiddly.1) Firstly to remove the ring that holds the pad you first need to expose the four plastic tabs. To do this carefully cut the old pad off with a pair of pointed scissors2) Once the pad is off it exposes the speaker surrounded by four plastic tabs. Gently lever the tabs away from the plastic with a small flat bladed screwdriver or a metal spudger.3) Once the plastic ring is loose, remove any remaining bits of the old ear muff and give speaker a gentle clean.4) Next replace the ring ensuring the small guide pegs top and bottom fit into the holes and press it home until each tab clicks in place.5) Next gently stretch the back of the new pad over the plastic ring ensuring to align the seam at the top behind the headband.6) Next get a thin smooth item without a sharp edge and starting at the top gently push a small fold of the plastic into the space between the two bits of plastic. Work your way round until all the edges of the pad are now inserted into the joint. I found the rounded end of a metal spudger ideal for this but the round end of a metal nail file or small blunt knife might work as long as its thin enough.7) Finally make sure all of the shiny "ring" of the new pad has disappeared into the joint. You can use the spudger for this but I found my thumbnail worked really well to push the fabric in deeply. Smooth out any wrinkles and enjoy your new earmuffs.It took me a while to do both earmuffs and it was a bit fiddly but the finished result is very acceptable.

The ear cushions are made of good quality materials and while they perfectly replace the original, it took quite a while to set them up correctly. They don't isolate very well from outside noises and they even amplify some lower frequency ones for some reason. All in all they're a very good replacement anyway.
