Delicious recipes with fresh, natural ingredients and lots of flavor!
I have to admit that I was a little skeptical about the Keto way of eating when I perceived its emphasis on fat as the primary dietary ingredient above all else. Martina's cookbook dispelled the myths I'd envisioned about having meals with nothing but lard, bacon, and other saturated fats--her recipes use lots of fresh vegetables, fresh and dried herbs, and a variety of spices. You won't find a lot of packaged foods in Martina's cookbook--if any--and given that the cookbook focuses on meals that one can prepare in a crock pot or a single Dutch oven or deep skillet, you'll save time and headaches as well.Since we've added this cookbook to our culinary library, I've prepared many meals for my family using Martina's Keto recipes. Her meals are flavorful and substantial--we've never felt as if we're eating "diet food" or skimping on our dinners! Our two teenage sons are notoriously picky eaters--especially our younger son--yet he told me after eating Martina's Keto-friendly Coq au Vin that it's one of his favorite homemade chicken dishes! Other favorites in our house: Salmon Chowder, Quick Meatball Casserole, Ranch Chicken Casserole, and Cajun Andouille Gumbo.If this cookbook has any shortcomings, some of the ingredients are either hard to find or prohibitively costly. Also, even being that the meals are "one-pot" or "slow-cooker" doesn't always mean they save time--I find myself spending more time chopping vegetables than the amount of time it takes to actually cook the food--but this is a welcome setback when it means that the food our family will be eating is full of fresh and healthy ingredients.Overall, I highly recommend this cookbook--one of the best I've ever purchased.

I like it. I am all about one pot meals.
I've made the pork lo mein (pretty good), the beef bourguignon (is this really keto?), the smashed cauliflower (ok), the sausage frittata (these are pretty standard keto). I'm looking forward to making many of the other main dishes. I am a person who likes to get a bunch of dishes cooked and eat it over the next few days. This works for me, and I am using these recipes and Diane Sanfilippo's Keto book in tandem. It's been 6 weeks and I am not bored with the food yet, however, it's a LOT of meat for people who are not used to eating meat. Before, I would have beef and pork a few times a month, and eggs a few times a week, and now I am eating it daily. Never had one issue with my cholesterol before, so we'll see how the cholesterol levels are in a few months!!!!Update: this is the keto book i keep coming back to in the colder months. Many recipes are excellent. I have had trouble with the desserts being burnt in slow cooker but now i cut time in half for those. The skillet recipes have all been really delicious!

Good for getting started
I've been trying to stick with a Keto diet and was very interested in consolidating my cooking to slow cookers and one pots. I will say that there seems to be more one pot meals than slow cooker recipes and the slow cooker aspect is the main reason I got it. Regardless, most of the recipes are really good and we've enjoyed them. I did like that she did more than just add a bunch of cheese to recipes to make them Keto. I'm a pretty avid cook and I did find that most of the recipes were either things I had seen elsewhere or had made up something similar myself. However, I did let my mother (who is not a big cook) borrow it and she really enjoyed it.

My go-to Cookbook for Weeknight Keto Inspiration
Love being able to put on a meal early in the day and smell it while I'm working. The anticipation is wonderful. All of the recipes I've tried have been on point. Super tasty, not too complicated. It's a great way to stay Keto even when you are busy, busy.

REALISTIC Keto!
BUY this now if you are doing Keto!!So far, I've made three recipes out of this cookbook and all have been HITS! The Lemon Drizzle cake on page 191 is divine. The New York Cheesecake with Chocolate Ganache on page 200 and the Broccoli Cheese Soup have been delicious too!Slow-cooking is the best way for me to prep a decent dinner for my teenagers and myself, since I work full time. Having the ability to make Keto easy through slow cooking has tremendously helped me to stay in ketosis. Highly recommend!!If you don't have a Whole Foods nearby, then order ahead from Amazon some key ingredients you will need to make the desserts; Swerve sweetners, sugar free vanilla extract or powder, almond flour, coconut flour, Lilly's chocolate chips.

A little too fancy.. lots of steps/ingredients- not for everyday dinners
I really wanted to love this book, but I have five kids and one happens to be a five month old, there’s just no way I can use half of these recipes! It’s definitely a little too fancy for us. There was literally like five recipes maybe more for lamb, lamb? I’m never gonna buy lamb! I wouldn’t even know where to get it! does Walmart sell lamb?Anyway, too fancy- fancy ingredients, and too expensive for some of the stuff. I tagged about eight recipes that I will make out of the entire book- definitely not for your every day family over five people

Great cookbook that includes recipes for wonderful homemade stocks (a great alternative to bone broth): vegetable, chicken, and seafood / fish stock.This is a "must have" cookbook to keep forever in your kitchen. Clean and easy to follow recipes! It also includes beautiful dessert recipes to make in a slow cooker or insta-pot! Who knew?

Love this cookbook
After borrowing a ton of keto cookbooks from the library, I knew I had to buy this one. Our whole family has loved many of these dishes, and we are still trying more. I like the size of the book, as well as the graphic layout with lots of pictures.I'm overall very pleased with this purchase!

Holy grail of keto and ME/Fibromyalgia
I have recently been diagnosed with ME and keto really helps manage my symptoms of extreme fatigue but I found most meals need to be cooked fresh when needed. This doesn’t work for me, at the end of my day I’m lucky to be able to stand for 10 minutes without being in immeasurable pain so I knew that in order to be able to start and maintain keto, I would need to prep in the mornings when I have the most energy and also need to freeze meals for my bad days when I’m bed bound and unable to move.I’ve bought a few cookbooks in the past and I’ve read through and been disheartened at the recipes, feeling unable to achieve them without facing consequences to my health. This book however, is absolutely amazing. There’s a few soups (we don’t eat soup but this book has made me want to try) but it’s mostly main courses that not only can be frozen, take minimal effort to throw together and look absolutely immense! I read someone else say it’s the first cookbook that has made them want to try EVERYTHING and I can whole heartedly relate to this and it’s made me extremely excited for my journey ahead. I’ve never felt that going keto was more doable with ease and variety.Absolutely recommend this book for anyone in my situation, or for people who don’t have time to cook or enjoy cooking. I think this will definitely ignite a passion for cooking again

Too many ingredients required
Cookbook with lots of beautiful pictures.However, the recipes unfortunately require too many ingredients...I doubt that I will ever make any meals from this book :-(

Buy this book!
Martina nails it again. This is my third book by this author. I just love the clear, foolproof way she presents her recipes. The ingredients are by weight (I wish other cookbook authors would adhere to this standard) and her step-by-step instructions are clear and easy to follow. So far, everything has been delicious to boot..

One of the best keto cookbooks I've ever bought. Clear instructions with colour photos, nutrition facts per serve and huge variety - basics & staples; soups & stews; roasts & casseroles, this book is one of most favourite in my keto library. So very much worth having one of your own!
